A New Dr Pepper Flavor Is Coming—and It’s Permanent!

This has been a solid year for Dr Pepper. Not only did it overtake Pepsi to become the number two soda in America, but they debuted a new Creamy Coconut flavor, and collaborated on a Dirty Soda creamer and Dr Pepper flavored beef jerky. The fun never stops with the Doctor, and it seems like he is already gearing up for 2025 with a new permanent flavor launching.

A new Dr Pepper flavor? Tell me more!

According to supersoda superfanatic Team Supernova (who loves referring to himself in the third person), Dr Pepper is slated to release Dr Pepper Blackberry. How will this compare to Dr Pepper Dark Berry? While we aren’t 100% sure just yet, Dark Berry featured flavors like blackcurrant and black cherries in addition to blackberries, so while we do expect it to offer some similarities, don’t expect it to be identical.

When can I get this new Dr Pepper flavor? And where?

Sources tell us that this new Dr Pepper flavor will drop late January of 2025. So, once the ball drops to ring in the new year you won’t have much waiting to do before the hunt is on! The good news is it appears that this will not be an exclusive flavor, so you should easily be able to purchase it anywhere, in both bottles and cans.

Will there be a Dr Pepper Black Berry Zero Sugar?

Zero sugar drinkers, rejoice! Dr Pepper Blackberry will be available in zero sugar! We know zero sugar fans are often left in the dust with lots of innovations when it comes to new soda releases, so I see this as an absolute win.

If you’re a fan of  blackberries or Dr Pepper, get hyped. I think this is really going to be a special way to start off 2025 with the Doc.

    • Hi just wondering where this comment comes from as Pepsi offers almost everything they make in a zero sugar or diet. Even most of their limited time flavors come in zero sugar now

  • If Dr. Pepper was going to make any new flavor permanent it should be Creamy Coconut! It’s out of this world delicious, and the sales show that because it sold out everywhere way before then end of July so it didn’t last for the length of the limited timeframe they had announced. I’m very thankful to have one 12 pack left. But why/how would they make Blackberry a permanent flavor when no one has even tried it yet?
It may be disgusting, it may taste like cough syrup, or even Zicam, who knows? So they’re not even going to see how it sales, or what people think of it, or how well it’s liked or not? They just automatically make it permanent when people are hoping & praying for the Creamy Coconut to become permanent and it flies off the shelves wherever you put it and good luck finding any now, but Creamy Coconut is awesome but a limited edition &. Blackberry is permanent? That makes zero sense? I know Coconut could be like the Strawberries & Cream Dr. Pepper & be limited then be brought back as permanent but how is blackberry permanent from day one is a bunch of bull butter.

    • I agree with you a 1000% I only have 3 cans of Creamy coconut left and I don’t want to drink them because they are non existence….Making blackberry permanent is wrong…..like you said Creamy coconut was gone before it was supposed to be because it flew off the shelves and I too am disappointed that I can’t find it
