M&M’s was quiet for a lot of 2025, but the brand is really ramping up the new releases as we head into the home stretch. First we had the trio of bakery-inspired flavors, then the new Peanut M&M’s flavor, and now we’ve got an entirely new, never before seen M&M’s product: M&M’s Pop’d Caramel. Read on for all the crispy details.

What is M&M’s Pop’d Caramel?

It’s M&M’s first-ever freeze-dried candy. Rather than launch the new concept with a simple freeze-dried version of plain M&M’s, the brand is dropping a freeze-dried version of somewhat underappreciated Caramel M&M’s (they come in at #7 on our ranking of the best M&M’s flavors).

What are these new M&M’s going to taste like?

According to a press release, they’ll be caramelly with a “light, crispy, and crunchy new texture—unlike anything M&M’s has done before.” Personally, I’m intrigued to find out how these will differ in texture from the Crispy M&M’s. The packaging makes it look like the insides of the M&M’s are bursting out of the shell like some sort of xenomorph situation. That’s definitely a different sort of M&M’s experience.

When will these new M&M’s be available? And where can you get them?

M&M’s Pop’d Caramel will first drop on the TikTok Shop on Friday, November 3. After that, you’ll be able to buy them in M&M’s stores on November 10. Then, they’ll get a nationwide retailer release in January 2026. Initially, they’ll only be available in 5.5oz pouches, but more sizes will follow later in 2026.

Are these a limited time offering?

According to the brand, these new M&M’s are a permanent addition to the M&M’s family of products. I expect we’ll see more freeze-dried M&M’s flavors before 2026 is over.

Hi! I’m the editor-in-chief of Sporked. I will never turn down a fresh-shucked oyster but I’ll also leap at whatever new product Reese’s releases and I love a Tostitos Hint of Lime, even if there is no actual lime in the ingredients. Why you should trust me: I have been writing about food and beverages for well over a decade and am an avid at-home cook and snacker. I began my career writing about fine dining and recipes, moved into cocktails and spirits, and now I talk about groceries. If you can eat it or drink it, I’ve probably written about it. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s dried okra. Appleton Farms prosciutto from Aldi. Some sort of Trader Joe’s cheese (I’m into the aged gouda at the moment). Frozen waffles (usually the Eggo Cinnamon Toast Minis). Spindrift water (loving the Cosmopolitan right now). Favorite ranking: Smoked salmon. Imagine me as Scrooge McDuck but instead of coins I’m diving into a vault of slippery smoked salmon slices. Pure joy. I also found some real steals in that taste test! Least favorite ranking: Canned oysters. I had such high hopes for this but it quickly became a chore. The kitchen smelled like an uncleaned aquarium.
