The 3 New Peelerz Flavors Look Pretty ~Apeeling~

Do you like gummies? Did you do that thing as a child where you poured glue all over your hands, let it dry, and peeled it off? Do you like it when things that aren’t eggs are shaped like eggs? If you answered 2 or more of these questions with a resounding yes, then oh boy do we have news for you. Amos Peelerz, the brand behind those iconic peelable mango gummies with the soft matte outsides and shiny, sticky gummy centers, has launched three new flavors: Matcha Mochi, Egg-Cellent, and Chili Mango. Now you may be wondering what the heck an Egg-Cellent peelable gummy tastes like, and, well, we had the same question ourselves.

Does a matcha gummy sound yummy or not? Is the egg one egg flavored, and if so, what were they thinking? No comment on the chili mango—that just sounds great.

To answer your questions: Yes, the matcha flavor does sound unique, given that matcha usually doesn’t come in gummy form. That said, according to the packaging, the peelable soft outside gummy will be rice mochi flavored, while the gooier inside of the gummy will be matcha flavored, so if these gummies at all manage to replicate the consistency and bouncy dome shape of fresh gooey mochi, then I don’t see why this flavor combo couldn’t work, since matcha mochi is delightful.

As for the Egg-Cellent Peelerz, don’t worry! Turns out they are caramel pudding flavored, and are shaped like eggs just for the ~hegg~ of it (thank goodness). And unlike the matcha gummies with the different flavor layers, both parts of the egg-shaped candies (the peel and the center) will be the same flavor. Since this is a somewhat rare flavor among gummy candies, we’re pretty curious what it’ll taste like.

Lastly, Chili Mango is a return to the brand’s roots with a mango-shaped peelable candy that is mango-flavored throughout—it just happens to be spicy this time. As a chili mango-flavor appreciator and a big fan of mango with Tajin and chamoy, we love to see new spicy fruity finds hit the candy aisle, and this new spicy mango candy is no exception.

These candies are all out now, currently exclusively through TikTok shop, so if you simply must get your fingies on them and start a-peelin’, you know where to find them. That said, if you are not a TikTok kind of gal and you want to wait it out, I’m sure someday they will start selling these through brick and mortar shops as well as Amazon, but that day has simply not yet come.
