New Monster flavors just keep on coming. And, according to our reporting, Monster isn’t about to stop in 2026. This year, there were two new Monster flavors that caught our eye—and both of them happen to be from the Juice Monster line (though we’d like to give a quick honorable mention to the newly returned Monster Ultra Black). Get amped and a full day’s worth of sugar with the best new Monster flavors we tried this year.

Juice Monster Viking Berry

We still aren’t totally sure what a viking berry is (it might be a chokeberry, although that doesn’t really help us), but we love it, whatever it is. Like most Juice Monsters, it’s incredibly sweet. Like, really sweet. But there’s just enough tartness to balance it out and tempt you into finishing a whole can, which contains more than 90% of your daily recommended sugar.

Juice Monster Bad Apple

Juice Monster Bad Apple

This new Juice Monster dropped just in time to make it into the Sporked Awards. But we instantly knew it deserved first place as the best new Monster drink after taking our first sip. This stuff is so good. It’s essentially a sweeter sparkling Martinelli’s apple cider that gets you amped. This is downright chuggable. It’s the first Monster drink I’ve ever truly craved.

About the Author

Justine Sterling

Hi! I’m the editor-in-chief of Sporked. I will never turn down a fresh-shucked oyster but I’ll also leap at whatever new product Reese’s releases and I love a Tostitos Hint of Lime, even if there is no actual lime in the ingredients. Why you should trust me: I have been writing about food and beverages for well over a decade and am an avid at-home cook and snacker. I began my career writing about fine dining and recipes, moved into cocktails and spirits, and now I talk about groceries. If you can eat it or drink it, I’ve probably written about it. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s dried okra. Appleton Farms prosciutto from Aldi. Some sort of Trader Joe’s cheese (I’m into the aged gouda at the moment). Frozen waffles (usually the Eggo Cinnamon Toast Minis). Spindrift water (loving the Cosmopolitan right now). Favorite ranking: Smoked salmon. Imagine me as Scrooge McDuck but instead of coins I’m diving into a vault of slippery smoked salmon slices. Pure joy. I also found some real steals in that taste test! Least favorite ranking: Canned oysters. I had such high hopes for this but it quickly became a chore. The kitchen smelled like an uncleaned aquarium.
