Guess what? There’s a new Twix shape in town! Following the apparent success of the Twix Snowmen this past winter, the cookie candy bar brand is dropping an all new shape just in time for Easter—okay, it’s actually pretty early. But have you seen the candy aisle? It’s full Easter already.

What is the new Twix shape?

Twix just dropped Twix Baskets. You get the classic crunchy cookie layer and the cookie caramel layer, all coated in chocolate. Yep, it’s a Twix bar. BUT! It’s shaped like an Easter basket filled with two big Easter eggs. That’s right, it’s not a Twix bunny or even a Twix Easter egg, it’s a gosh darn basket. You don’t see that in every candy aisle. You can get individually wrapped singles and many wrapped singles in a big bag, as well as a duo pack—just like regular Twix.

Where can I find these new Easter Twix?

You can find these new, seasonal Twix wherever Twix are sold. They aren’t exclusive to any store.

Are they any good?

Here’s what’s nice about these new Twix: they aren’t just chocolate blobs, they’re detailed. (You can see how detailed they are in this video.) I appreciate that. I like a bar with fun new chocolate textures. As for the proportions of chocolate to cookie to caramel, I can’t speak to that yet (we await our samples, Twix). And while the reviews on Walmart’s website are positive, they’re all currently marked as “part of a promotion,” aka bought. That said, it’s still a Twix. How bad can it be? It’s a low risk purchase, if you ask me.

Hi! I’m the editor-in-chief of Sporked. I will never turn down a fresh-shucked oyster but I’ll also leap at whatever new product Reese’s releases and I love a Tostitos Hint of Lime, even if there is no actual lime in the ingredients. Why you should trust me: I have been writing about food and beverages for well over a decade and am an avid at-home cook and snacker. I began my career writing about fine dining and recipes, moved into cocktails and spirits, and now I talk about groceries. If you can eat it or drink it, I’ve probably written about it. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s dried okra. Appleton Farms prosciutto from Aldi. Some sort of Trader Joe’s cheese (I’m into the aged gouda at the moment). Frozen waffles (usually the Eggo Cinnamon Toast Minis). Spindrift water (loving the Cosmopolitan right now). Favorite ranking: Smoked salmon. Imagine me as Scrooge McDuck but instead of coins I’m diving into a vault of slippery smoked salmon slices. Pure joy. I also found some real steals in that taste test! Least favorite ranking: Canned oysters. I had such high hopes for this but it quickly became a chore. The kitchen smelled like an uncleaned aquarium.
