Steel yourselves, eBay resellers! Trader Joe’s has confirmed that they will be bringing back the viral—and, apparently, greatly underproduced—pastel mini tote bags that they sell in the spring.

First introduced in 2024, the 13-inch bags originally came in navy blue, yellow, red, and green. And the internet loved them. They sold out everywhere and the reseller market was absolutely bonkers. Though they originally sold for $2.99, some listings on eBay had them going for over $1,000. In the spring of 2025, Trader Joe’s Mini Totes dropped in a series of pastel colors—pastel blue, green, pink, and purple—and, naturally, people went nuts for them once again. Those Easter-egg-hued little bags are coming back for a 2026 release, so here’s what you need to know to get one for yourself.
And I mean ONE! If you use this knowledge to resell, know I will judge you.
We want fairness for everyone, dammit! Though Trader Joe’s has yet to confirm a release date for stores across the country, the bags are already up on the store’s website and an associate at the Trader Joe’s in Sparks, Nevada, told the Reno Gazette Journal that their store will be getting them back in on Monday, March 16. Other insiders have been saying March 17, so don’t shoot the messenger if you go on Monday and they aren’t in stock.
And there’s more! If you’ve always thought the Trader Joe’s Mini Tote was cute but impractical, the store is also releasing a bigger bag for spring, a “large” canvas bag with lavender handles and a pink Trader Joe’s logo.
