Mountain Dew’s White Out Could Be Back for a Limited-Time—Here’s What We Know

Mountain Dew has picked an odd year to showcase American patriotism, but, well, here we are. Thanks to some pretty incredible sleuthing from IG user and future FBI agent mtndewkid_com, we know that PepsiCo filed a patent for something called “American Dew” in October of 2025. Apparently, the domain AmericanDew.com was registered around the same time (the site is currently “offline for maintenance”).

And then, this graphic was leaked on Reddit. It shows a can, a bottle, and a box redesigned as “American Dew.” What is “American Dew”? Allegedly, it’s Mountain Dew’s 2026 summer promotion featuring a sweepstakes, variety pack, and redesign celebrating America (and likely the Semiquincentennial, which will be observed on July 4, 2026.)

Is for real?

Officially, Mountain Dew hasn’t said a peep about this yet. Unofficially, fans are calling the redesigned box the “America Pack,” and they already have the names of the three flavors it features.

It looks like the “America Pack” will include red, white, and blue cans—flavors that (allegedly) correspond to Code Red, Voltage, and, wait for it… drum roll please…Mountain Dew White Out.

What’s Mountain Dew White Out?

The concept feels a little loaded to me, but okay. Like @chrisfrez on IG, I’m just here to report on the news. White Out was a popular “smooth citrus” Mountain Dew iteration known for its opaque white color, and plenty of fans were crushed to see it discontinued in 2019. It reportedly had a creamy lemon-lime and yuzu thing going for it, with a less acidic flavor profile compared to other Dews in the line-up. People have been pleading with Mountain Dew to bring it back for years, and now, according to rumors, it could be here as soon as mid-May.
