New Sonic Refreshers! We Have All the Details

It’s the year of the refresher. Yep. We’re calling it! So far in 2026, we’ve seen refreshers take the food world by storm, as more people turn towards fruity, soda-adjacent drinks that may or may not contain a little hint of caffeine to get you back into the swing of the day. We’ve seen Dunkin’ add new refreshers as part of its spring menu, we’ve seen Panera take its refreshers nationwide, and maybe most prominently, we’ve seen Starbucks roll out a bunch of new refresher options (while also changing its Strawberry Acai Refresher in ways that fans are not happy about).

Now, Sonic is coming for the biggest of ‘em all – and doing it refreshingly. The chain is launching a trio of new refreshers, and we’ve got the lowdown here.

Sonic’s New Refreshers

The three new refreshers at Sonic are all made with a green tea base, infusing them with a touch of caffeine and (we hope) a nice grassy note amidst any sugariness. They can be made either still or sparkling, too. The flavors are:

Strawberry Passion Fruit Refresher

This refresher is infused with a passion fruit purée, strawberry pieces, and the aforementioned green tea. If any drink was destined to see you through the long, hot summer days, this is it.

Mango Peach Refresher

…unless this one is it! Sonic’s Mango Peach Refresher is built with a duo of mango and peach purées. We suspect much sweetness will be at play here, but we’re not mad about it.

Berry Citrus Refresher

We think that berry flavors are wholly underrated in drinks (which is partly why we were so pleased to see the recent Derpy Sprite hack going on at McDonald’s), so Sonic’s Berry Citrus Refresher looks good to us. This drink is a mixture of wild berry and blueberry purées, green tea, and lemon.

How Much Will These Refreshers Cost?

Sonic’s pricing its new drinks relatively competitively: They’ll start at $2.99 for a 20-ounce serving. They will also only be available in 20-ounce servings, just FYI, so don’t hang your hat on getting a smaller one. It’s also worth remembering that, like all things on this fine earth, prices may vary from place to place.

How Long Do I Have To Get Them?

Apparently, you have forever. Sonic’s refreshers are a permanent addition to its menu, so no huge rush! That said, the restaurant can still obviously remove them at any time it wishes (or when the refresher trend dies), so we wouldn’t mark a date in your calendar next year for your first sip.

And When Can I Get Them?

Riiiiight now. These refreshers are now available at Sonic restaurants around the country, although it’s best to check with your local store to see if they have them.
