Don’t overthink it (generally a safe rule when it comes to eating hot dogs). The hot dog stuffed crust pizza is a Pizza Hut offering that seems like a normal PH pie until you get to that slightly-plumper-than-expected crust to find that, oh, hold up, the outer ring of bread is home to a hot dog. Every slice has an entire steamed hot dog baked into the crust. It’s the ultimate one-man-band providing a flavor symphony.

When can you get hot dog stuffed crust pizza?

This is a baseball season special, so it launched on March 30th but is only available through September.

Where can you get it?

Here’s the cruel part: It’s only available in Canada. That seems like a missed opportunity, since a hot dog stuffed pizza seems like a characteristically brazen food abomination for America, aka home of the KFC Double Down. Perhaps we Americans have not demonstrated the self-control necessary to live in the same country as a hot dog stuffed pizza. We’d never get any work done. We’d never pay our bills. Society would collapse around us, while the glizzy/pizza (gliz’za, if you will) lulls us into a food coma as we half mumble, half burp a contented “mmmm worth it,” perfumed by cheesy hot dog breath.

But wait! Pizza Hut does want you to have it!

Understandably Americans have been vocal about their disappointment with Pizza Hut’s Canada-only hot dog stuffed crust pizza. And Pizza Hut has responded. Pizza Hut Canada is offering border-crossing Americans a deal on the pizza. “As a sincere condolences, we want to offer you 50% off a medium hot dog stuffed crust pizza,” they wrote in an Instagram post. “In store only. Specifically, one store only. Garrison Rd. Fort Erie. In Canada.” So, there is hope if you’re really fiending for some hot dog crust—especially if you live within driving distance of Ontario.
