What jokester out there hasn’t seen a bit spiral out of control? It all starts with something innocuous. Maybe you call your friend “Bort” when his real name is Bart. Then the rest of your friends start to join in. Eventually, your friend Bort (he no longer even thinks of himself as Bart) has to be institutionalized because he can’t grasp reality anymore. The new Chupa Chups lollipop I’m about to tell you about is kinda like that.

The bit-gone-wild in question is a meatball lollipop

IKEA got the (meat)ball rolling on April Fools’ Day with a post teasing a meatball lollipop. It was meant to be just that, though. A joke. A ruse. A foolish little fib that wasn’t actually real. Apparently, enough people in the comments begged for this to be reality, that IKEA has already got a production line fired up to make it happen within two short weeks.

If you are intrigued enough to try a Swedish meatball lollipop, here are the deets…

The initial announcement video of the now-real collab between IKEA and Chupa Chups shared few details, but did confirm that, yes, meatball lollipops are indeed on their way. Oh, joy! Thankfully, IKEA followed it up with more details about how to snag one of these limited-release lollipops for real.

The key point is that they will be a very limited release and they won’t actually be for sale. Chupa Chups is only making one million of these meatball lollipops and instead of being able to buy them, customers will have the chance to taste them for free while visiting IKEA stores this June. While they didn’t specify when exactly in June that’ll be, you can be sure we’ll share the date when we get it.
