Post Malone and Bud Light Just Announced a New Collab—Will It Be as Good as His Oreos?

Post Malone’s an interesting guy, isn’t he? He’s able to slip between musical genres at the speed of light (at last count, he covered about six of them), and he’s no stranger to a left-field collaboration. That includes food brands. Last year, he teamed up with Nabisco to release his limited-edition Post Malone Oreos, which were frankly incredible. Who’d have thought he’d have achieved such access there? We have to admit, we didn’t, but hey – we were happily proved wrong.

Now the singer, rapper, and public figure is working once again in the food and drink space, this time with Bud Light. The new Bud Light x Posty Co. Minis are on their way, and their journey is starting, like so many brand collaborations do, at Stagecoach (you thought we were gonna say Coachella, huh?). Here’s the deal.

Bud Light x Posty Co. Minis

Post Malone and Bud Light’s new collaboration hasn’t resulted in a new drink, but rather, a new drink size. Bud Light x Posty Co. Minis will come in 7 oz. bottles and 7.5 oz. cans, with Anheuser-Busch’s press release saying that “the smaller packs are perfect for warmer weather and making sure your beers stay ice cold when drinking them with your buddies.” 

Todd Allen, Bud Light’s SVP of marketing at Anheuser-Busch, extrapolated further on the collab. “We’ve had an unparalleled, decade-long partnership with Posty, and it was only right we celebrate the milestone accordingly,” he stated. “Our Bud Light x Posty Co. Minis are a culmination of 10 years of true collaboration and authentic intertwining of our brands. It’s been an honor to join Posty on his journey for the last 10 years, and we cannot wait to continue our partnership with a product we know both of our fans will love.”

Leaning into the smaller-sized theme, Bud Light revealed the new mini cans and bottles in a story in the Tryon Daily Bulletin. This North Carolina publication calls itself the “world’s smallest daily newspaper,” so it’s only appropriate, really.

The Ideal Size for a Hot Desert Festival, Some Might Say

Post Malone and Bud Light’s new beer sizes will make their grand debut at Stagecoach next weekend, and they’ll subsequently be available at participating retailers from May 4. To mark the release, the musician and the beer brand also teamed up to release a “film” (which is more of a commercial, given that it’s just over a minute long) called The Smallest Bar in the West, which sees him and his friends stumble upon – you guessed it! – the smallest bar in the West. 

This bar, incidentally, will be propped up at Stagecoach outside the festival grounds from Thursday 23, and inside the festival itself on the Sunday, inside Bud Light’s “activation space” and shortly before Post Malone plays his headline slot. Bud Light will, of course, not be the only brand there: The return of Buffalo Wild Wings’ Bottomless App deal will also be celebrated at the festival.
