Ooooh, buddy. We just spotted Chicken Ramen-flavored Kraft Mac and Cheese in stores. This is a new limited-edition Kraft Mac and Cheese flavor that seems to have had a silent release, since we’ve seen no news on the subject yet—but Reddit is all over it, of course. Here’s everything we know so far.

What can we expect from this new Kraft flavor?

This is basically Kraft’s regular boxed mac and cheese, elbow noodle and all, mixed with chicken ramen seasoning—which is a recipe that people have been doing on their own for a long time, apparently. (Who was gonna tell me? Are we friends? Do you hate me? I’m always the last to know these things…) If anyone remembers the old Kraft flavor from years ago, Kraft Classics Savory Chicken Noodles, I’m hoping this will taste like that, but cheesier.

This is kinda giving that one viral New York Times “Perfect Instant Ramen” recipe which claims that the very best instant ramen you could make at home is just your standard cheap ramen packet with an added egg, some butter, scallions, sesame seeds, and most importantly, a slice of American cheese. That recipe circulated in 2024, and I have to say, Kraft: You’re a little late to the game with this, but I’ll take it.

Adding chicken ramen seasoning to mac and cheese might be the missing piece for me. Controversially, I get bored of Kraft’s mac and cheese pretty quickly. But you know what I never get bored of? Chicken instant ramen. I could slurp that broth for breakfast lunch and dinner if my kidneys could take it.

Where can I find it?

So far, this ramen mac and cheese has been spotted at Jewel-Osco and Weis Markets. I’m selfishly hoping that means it makes it to Albertsons soon… and maybe from there, an even wider release.
I cannot imagine this new Kraft flavor won’t taste good, can you? The only thing that gives me pause is the lack of any formal announcement around it. But it’s possible Kraft wants to market their new restaurant-edition mac and cheeses (which I just tried for myself, btw) first. Stay tuned for any updates on this—and hopefully a taste test on our end!
