Trader Joe's Fan-Favorite Patio Chips Are Back

It’s got four different flavors mixed into every bag, but they’re even better eaten all at once!

While Trader Joe’s has plenty of chip flavors, one of the most popular is a seasonal mix known as Patio Chips, a “picnic-ready” blend of flavors that comes out each year, just in time for summer. (Although, they didn’t come out in 2024, as the Covered Bridge Potato Chip Factory—the Canadian factory that supplied the chips to Trader Joe’s—burned down.)

Well, the chips have finally started being spotted in stores, so here’s our rundown on this summer-time snack and why you’ll want to be binging on them in your backyard. (Patio optional.)

What’s Are Trader Joe’s Patio Chips?

Each bag features a mix of four different flavors: Sea Salt & Vinegar, Delicious Dill, Homestyle Ketchup, and Smokin’ Sweet BBQ. So, you never know exactly what you’re pulling out when you reach into the bag. But if you combine them all, you get all the flavors of a BBQ burger.

And it doesn’t hurt that the flavor’s not too off from the ever-popular Canadian “all dressed chips,” but with a bit more vinegar and a lot more pickle.

Online fans are already raving about their return, writing “I’m not allowed to buy these because they are so good,” and “One of the best things at TJ. I said it.”

When and Where Can I Get ’em?

While they’re still listed as “not available” on the Trader Joe’s website, fans have reported already finding them in stores. You can find a 6oz bag of them for $2.99. Happy hunting!
