You’ll Never Guess Where Takis Is Launching Their Hot Sauce

Takis have really settled into their craft at making spicy and intensely flavored snacks. You can find them in any convenience store you walk into. They have an endless array of flavors to choose from (though we still loved the OG the best). Takis even has so much extra cash that they’re just out here hosting contests to give some away!

What does one do when you’ve conquered it all?

Break into a neighboring market, I guess! Takis is leaving the chip aisle and bouncing over to the sauce aisle as they launch their first-ever hot sauce, Takis Fuego Hot Sauce. The sauce comes in a 5 fl oz bottle featuring Takis’ signature Hot Chili Pepper & Lime flavor with an “extreme” heat level. Mark me down as a little scared, but a lotta excited for the possibilities this bottle holds.

Where can I find it?

That’s the interesting thing. Takis’ hot sauce will launch exclusively at Family Dollar beginning June 8. I guess you never forget where you started out. It does make some level of sense, though. Family Dollar has a ton of Takis products in stock, including Takis popcorn and Takis hot nuts (the latter of which we actually kind of enjoyed). If you don’t have a Family Dollar near you, you can also keep an eye out for it on Walmart.com later in June.

Should you be excited for it?

Considering Takis’ original flavor is so good that it beat out every other iteration in our taste test, we’d say so! The spice and sourness are perfectly balanced. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still mega spicy compared to other snacks you can find out there. But if you love ‘em, you really love what you’re signing up for.

We’re not the only ones who love the classic flavor and crave more. Fans have long been adding hot sauce to their Takis for an extra kick, while others have even created their own DIY Takis-inspired hot sauces. That makes this hot sauce an especially anticipated launch for the brand’s fans. You don’t have to get your hands dirty with all those pepper juices to make your own.
