This New Snickers Candy Is All We Can Think About

Sometimes, a new food product drops, without any prior warning of its arrival, which makes me stop, stare into the middle distance, and wonder why nobody had made it up until this point. Maybe I’m just a sucker for new releases (actually, there’s no maybe about it – I am indeed a sucker for new releases), but when food companies, and specifically candy brands, get it right, it gives me a giddy thrill.

Today, that giddy thrill has come from Snickers, which has decided to drop a new frozen treat, totally out of the blue. And people…I want it. Here’s the lowdown.

Snickers Dipped Cheesecake Bites

Yes, it’s true: Snickers Dipped Cheesecake Bites have arrived. Like the brand’s recent whipped topping, released with Classic Cream, Snickers hasn’t provided any accompanying press release for this new product, and it’s not anywhere to be seen on its social media. Rather, it just appeared, like a phantom, spotted in stores by the likes of @candyhunting and other sweet treat sleuths, leaving us all to scramble to talk about it. Hey, the strategy worked.

But to the product! Snickers Dipped Cheesecake Bites are, according to the bag, clusters of “dry roasted peanuts in nougat caramel cheesecake, covered in milk chocolate and topped with Snickers pieces.” Each bag has eight single-serve desserts. So far, they’ve only been spotted at Walmart, and there’s no word on whether they’ll show up anywhere else. We’ll have to wait and see. 

The Reviews Are In!

As Snickers Dipped Cheesecake Bites have started to make their way into the big, wide world, the reviews have started to roll in – and it seems like the chocolate brand has nailed it with this one. One response, from @bootlegfoodreview on Instagram, made us even more desperate to try them after watching it. “Dude. Duuude,” he said, after biting into one of the bites. He went on to describe them as “unbelievably delicious,” mentioning that they’re reminiscent of Snickers ice cream bars, and called the cheesecake interior “delicate, decadent, and delicious.” We love the alliteration. 

The only thing you might want to bear in mind here is the price: According to shoppers, Snickers Dipped Cheesecake Bites are currently retailing at around $7, which is…a lot. But look. You can’t put a price on perfection (you definitely can, but I just wanted to say it). Either way, find these in the ice cream section of Walmart now.
