Nando’s has announced a new limited-edition release with Nike Football called Rippin’ Hot Sauce, saying that it’s coming to New York and London. While details remain scarce, the name alone suggests that this won’t be the kind of sauce people casually drizzle over a side of chips.

If this collaboration between Nando’s and Nike sounds familiar, that’s because both brands have been here before. Back in 2020, the two brands teamed up with soccer star Jadon Sancho to create the limited-edition “Sancho Sauce,” a special condiment inspired by the player’s favorite flavors. At the time, the sauce was tied to Nike’s launch of Sancho’s SE11 collection and was never sold in restaurants or stores. Instead, fans had to participate in the “#ShowYourSauce” social campaign for a chance to win one of the coveted bottles.

Now, six years later, it appears Nando’s and Nike Football are turning the heat up again.

It’s Going To Be Extra Hot

While Nando’s is keeping most of the details close to the chest, one thing is already clear from the teaser imagery: this isn’t shaping up to be a mild affair. The bottle is labeled “PERi-PERi RIPPIN’ HOT SAUCE XXHot,” suggesting that the collaboration is leaning towards the fiery on the PERi-ometer, which is basically a scale of hotness of Nando’s sauces.

For context, the soccer star Bukayo Saka’s is rated Medium on the PERi-ometer. For fans who are always looking for the hottest sauces in town, the “XXHot” label hints that this release could be one of the brand’s most intense flavor experiments yet.

So, When is it Coming?

As for when fans can get their hands on it, Nando’s has only confirmed that the PERi-PERi RIPPIN’ HOT SAUCE XXHot is “coming soon” to New York and London, stopping short of announcing an official release date.
