Summer 2026 has been full of big celebrations in honor of America’s 250th celebration and the party isn’t slowing down just yet. There’s still plenty of time to hit the lake, spend time under the sun, and throw some hot dogs on the grill. And Smirnoff Ice is about to amp things up with an event designed to break two Guinness World Records.
On August 1st, Smirnoff Ice will head to Put-in-Bay, Ohio on Lake Erie to combine hot dogs, Smirnoff Ice’s Red, White & Berry (one of its many flavor options), and two record-breaking events into one massive party. It’s part of the vodka brand’s “Be A Part-y of History” campaign, which is celebrating a milestone summer is the biggest way possible.
During the party at Put-in-Bay, Smirnoff Ice will attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the Largest Display of Hot Dogs and the Largest Hot Dog Party.
The Largest Display of Hot Dogs will feature a larger-than-life display crafted out of more than 250 uniquely-topped hot dogs. It’s sure to be impressive, as Smirnoff Ice plans for this eye-popping and record-breaking piece of art to span nearly 1,000 square feet in size.
And things will get even wilder with the Largest Hot Dog Party. Smirnoff Ice will host fans at the Round House, a storied hot dog destination at Put-in-Bay that dates back to 1873.
