Alani Nu most certainly heard the feedback from last year and that was a resounding bad review of the pumpkin spice fall drink. And based on the rumor mill, they’re not bringing it back this year. So, are we just going to be left with the Witch’s Brew for fall? Of course not. Alani Nu is nothing if not inventive in flavors and always ready to bring us new things to try (even when they really suck).

Now, we don’t have the full details on the release of this new flavor, but we know a bit of what to expect and we have to say, we’re pretty excited. Witch’s Brew was a big favorite last year as a green apple caramel flavored drink. This new drink is Ruby Apple, a red apple caramel flavor.

Everything We Know About Ruby Apple

Now, there’s a lot to wonder about the exact flavor. Red apple varies some in how they taste based on their variety. But they tend to be sweeter than tart green apples. So where Witch’s Brew is going to be tart and sweet, we can assume that this will have a little less tartness and a little more sweetness. Will it be too much? I hope not. I think there’s definitely a good balance of fresh red apple with caramel flavors without it becoming too sweet. The question is: can Alani Nu strike that balance?

As for how it will be sold, we know for sure that packaging exists for a duo pack featuring Ruby Apple and Witch’s Brew. So if you want just so much caramel apple to drink, Alani Nu’s fall drop has you covered. It will make stocking up for winter, spring, and summer pretty easy, too if you end up liking both flavors.

What We Expect About The Release

No news yet on if they will release Ruby Apple in its own 12-pack the way Pumpkin Cream was or if it will only be available as the Potion Pack alongside Witch’s Brew. I’m just hoping they make enough because I just know Witch’s Brew is gonna sell out fast again. At this point, Witch’s Brew should be a year-round flavor. There’s certainly the demand for it.

And while we don’t yet have an official release date, rumor has it that these will become available as soon as August 10th. Regardless, we know to expect cans on shelves before early fall, given past releases.

Maybe Ruby Apple will become the year-round alternative to Witch’s Brew since its name is not as overtly Halloween themed. Though, when you think of a dipped red apple, you certainly do think of a certain poisoned apple that put a fair lady to sleep for awhile.

No matter what ways this new drink releases, we’re excited to try it. And listen it surely can’t be worse than the Pumpkin Cream, right? Right??
