Dave’s Killer Bread Just Brought Back Its Pumpkin Spice Bagels After 7 Years

Pumpkin spice is back, whether we asked for it or not. And this year, Dave’s Killer Bread is getting in on the seasonal action by bringing back its Pumpkin Spice Madness Bagels for the first time in seven years.

Yes, seven years. Apparently, these bagels have been waiting patiently for their comeback.

The Pumpkin Spice Bagels Are Finally Back

Pumpkin Spice Madness Bagels combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg with Dave’s Killer Bread’s usual whole-grain situation. They’re made with organic, non-GMO whole grains and contain 10 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber per bagel, according to the brand.

So while I wouldn’t exactly call a pumpkin spice bagel a “wellness breakfast,” at least this one comes with a little nutritional backup.

And let’s be real: pumpkin spice has already infiltrated coffee, cereal, cookies, protein bars, and pretty much anything else manufacturers can put cinnamon in. A pumpkin spice bagel was probably inevitable.

They Haven’t Been Back Since 2019

The best part about this comeback? Dave’s Killer Bread hasn’t sold Pumpkin Spice Madness Bagels in seven years.

The brand says fans have been asking for them to return, and now they’re finally back on grocery store shelves. I’m not sure what happened during the seven-year pumpkin spice bagel hiatus, but apparently we made it through.

Dave’s Killer Bread also conducted a survey of 2,000 U.S. adults and found that 54% of respondents prioritize flavor when choosing bagels, compared with 34% who prioritize nutrition.

One in three respondents also ranked bagels among their top breakfast foods, putting them ahead of oatmeal, muffins, and crepes in the survey. And while the Pumpkin Spice Madness Bagels are only around for a limited time, 63% of respondents said the best season to eat a bagel is year-round.

Which feels about right. If I’m buying a bagel, I would like it to taste good. And if that bagel happens to taste like brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg, I’m certainly not going to complain.

Where To Find Them

The Pumpkin Spice Madness Bagels are available now at participating retailers nationwide for a limited time. They’ll be sold through November while supplies last, so you have a little time to get your hands on them before they disappear again.

A five-pack starts at $6.49, although prices can vary by retailer.

Dave’s Killer Bread has also recently launched its Mini Bagels in Plain Awesome and Epic Everything flavors. They’re 100 calories per mini bagel, so there’s another option if you want something smaller.

But I’m here for the pumpkin spice comeback.

Seven years is a long time to wait for a seasonal bagel, so I’m hoping Dave’s Killer Bread has learned its lesson and doesn’t make us wait until 2033 for the next one. Until then, I’ll happily take my pumpkin spice in bagel form.
