Jack in the Box Just Released New Burgers ― For Only One Location

Jack in the Box is introducing the Cosmic Cheeseburger platform, a limited-time menu that features three burgers that are cooked inside the bun! There’s just one catch. They’re only available at one location. Luckily for you though, it’s one within driving distance of my apartment. I took a trip down to Inglewood to check them out. Here’s what I found out.

Some Incredibly Cool Burgers

It sounds dorky as heck to say it but these are some really cool burgers. Let’s start with the basics. You may have seen burgers like this before. It’s a stuffed and pressed sandwich with sealed edges and a circular, saucer-like shape. The pressed edges create a crispy, crunchy exterior while the inside stays soft, hot and melty. I’ve seen them around on TikTok under the name UFO burgers. These “Cosmic Builds” are essentially the same thing.

Jack in the Box’s Cosmic Builds are available in three varieties:

Loaded Breakfast Cosmic Jack: Freshly cracked eggs, savory sausage, crispy hash brown, melty American cheese, cheddar cheese sauce, and bacon mayo sealed inside a buttery bakery bun. My breakfast loving heart’s favorite of the bunch!

Bacon Ultimate Cosmic Cheeseburger: 100% beef seasoned as it grills, hickory-smoked bacon, melty American cheese, sliced onions, crisp pickles, and Smashed Jack sauce all sealed inside a buttery bakery bun. Can I order this one without pickles next time?

Philly Chili Cosmic Jack: Garlicky shaved Philly steak, crunchy chili crisp, grilled peppers and onions, melty Swiss-style cheese, and mayonnaise sealed inside a buttery Hawaiian bun. Jack is really taking advantage of that new Philly cheesesteak they have on hand. The chili crisp was working on this one!

Each Cosmic build also features a Jack design pressed into the top of the bun, adding a distinctly Jack visual touch to the new format.

Enter: The Hype Drop

This lineup is the first of what Jack in the Box is calling a Hype Drop. Hype Drops give Jack in the Box a new way to bring bold, limited-time menu ideas directly to fans through highly limited releases designed to create novelty, exclusivity, and conversation. The Cosmic Cheeseburger marks the first Hype Drop, launching at just one Los Angeles restaurant for a limited two-week run.

Who’s the Lucky Jack?

The Cosmic Cheeseburger platform is available for two weeks. Starting August 19th and going through September 2nd, or while ingredients last, the three burgers will be available exclusively at the participating Jack in the Box restaurant in Inglewood: Jack in the Box 1220 Centinela Ave. Inglewood, CA 90302.

As for what comes next and where the next Hype Drop will be taking place, we’ll be keeping a close eye on things. Hopefully nothing too exciting makes its way to a store out of reach. We really hate to miss out on any fun!
