Football season is back and Pizza Hut has found a pretty sweet way to get fans in the game. The chain has teamed up with Pepsi and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen for a new campaign called “Gameday Starts With The Hut.”

The brand’s new “Gameday Starts With The Hut” campaign is bringing football, pizza, and a pretty tempting prize together. And if the campaign sounds familiar, that’s because Pizza Hut teamed up with Tom Brady for its football campaign last year. This time, the brand is expanding the spotlight to quarterbacks everywhere with Allen leading the charge.
Grab A Football And Say “Hut”
Pizza Hut is celebrating quarterbacks of all kinds this football season. That includes professional players like Josh Allen, but it also includes the friend who always calls the plays, the person who hosts the watch party and the backyard quarterback who takes a casual game of catch very seriously.
To enter the Pizza Hut Feeds QB Sweepstakes, eligible fans can head to Pizza Hut’s campaign website and upload a video of themselves saying “HUT” in action. The video can be a football snap, the start of a watch party, or another personal take on the football call. The entry also asks fans to explain in a few words why gameday starts with a “Hut.”
There are three prizes available and each winner gets 1,000,000 Hut Rewards points. Pizza Hut puts the approximate retail value at $10,800 per prize.
But there’s a big catch behind that “free pizza for life” promise. The prize is actually awarded as 1,000,000 Hut Rewards points, rather than unlimited pizza for the rest of the winner’s life.
Pizza Hut Also Has Gameday Deals
Of course, a football campaign from Pizza Hut would be pretty strange without some actual pizza.
The brand has rolled out two gameday deals for a limited time, starting with The Big Hut Deal. It comes with a large pizza and three toppings for $10, with a choice of Hut Crust.
Then there is the new Triple Treat Box GameDay Edition. The box starts at $21.99 and comes with two medium one-topping pizzas, breadsticks and cinnamon sticks. It is basically built for a group that plans to snack through kickoff, halftime, and whatever happens after that.
Pizza Hut is also letting fans add a 2-liter bottle of Pepsi for $2.
Also, for a limited time, medium and large pizzas will come in special football-themed boxes with pieces that can be cut out and turned into field goal posts. Put two boxes together back-to-back and they can create an entire football field.
A Win-Win
The best part of this deal might be the fact that you don’t need to be a professional quarterback to get involved. Anyone with a football, a phone, and a good “HUT” can take a shot at winning 1,000,000 Hut Rewards points. And if the sweepstakes doesn’t work out, there’s still a $10 pizza waiting on the other side.
