Snickers Just Released A New Xtreme Flavor

Ever wanted your Snickers bar to feel a little more intense? More radical? Like more of a boundary pusher? We’d imagine that for a lot of people, the answer is “no, it’s kind of fine the way it is.” And we’d largely agree. But look, Snickers Xtreme exists, and thus, we will be talking about it. Mars first brought out Snickers Xtreme in 2015 for a limited time, and while it didn’t quite justify its immoderate name, it still won itself a few fans out there. Then followed a decade-long absence, before it returned in 2025 – and when we tried it out, we weren’t exactly blown away (more on that later).

Well, now, Snickers has quietly released a new Xtreme flavor. We shall discuss.

Snickers Xtreme Almond

A few days ago, word reached us that Snickers Xtreme Almond is now a thing. This chocolate bar is, as will be incredibly obvious, an almond version of its standard Xtreme bar – or, alternatively, an Xtreme version of the Snickers Almond, which has been around for over two decades now. In each bar, Snickers promises “Xtra almonds, Xtra caramel,” with two bars in each share size pack. 

So far, Snickers Xtreme Almond has been spotted at Speedway, but it’ll likely be in loads of other places, too. Its release comes in a year when Snickers has been focusing on products that expand beyond standard chocolate bars. We’ve had mini Snickers ice cream bars, we’ve had Snickers Dipped Cheesecake Bites, and weirdest of all, we’ve had Snickers-flavored whipped topping. So, in a way, it’s nice to see the chocolate brand come back to what it does best. 

But Is It Any Good?

Well, given the quiet release of Snickers Xtreme Almond and its subtle rollout, there haven’t been many reviews so far – but we did find one from Rankin’s Food Reviews over on TikTok that said Snickers had nailed it with this one. The almond taste comes through particularly strongly, and all in all, it’s a satisfying chocolate bar. Which is kind of all you can expect from it, really. 

The question does remain, though, of just how different Snickers Xtreme is from Snickers, and whether we…really needed it in the first place. We felt like this last year when we tried the original Snickers Xtreme…it’s just kind of a Snickers, but with a bit more of everything. Which is fine! That’s totally fine. Just don’t expect something totally out there; that’s all we’re saying.
