Burger King’s Next Collab Is Even Cuter Than Expected

Burger King has been on a serious roll with its collectible toys lately. The chain went big with its Dragon Ball Z Super King Jr. toys and it looks like the next collaboration could be taking things in a much, much cuter direction.

According to reports making the rounds, Burger King could be teaming up with Hello Kitty and her Sanrio friends for a collection of blind-box toys coming in October. And the coolest thing about this one is that there’s reportedly a rare gold Hello Kitty hiding in the collection.

Hello Kitty and Friends Could Be Taking Over Burger King

The rumored Burger King and Sanrio collection features Hello Kitty, Kuromi, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, and Keroppi, along with the rare gold Hello Kitty.

The toys are reportedly coming in blind boxes. So the character inside the box is a mystery until it gets opened. There is no picking the favorite character off the shelf. Luck will decide whether the box contains Hello Kitty, Kuromi, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Keroppi, or something a little shinier.

For collectors, though, the little gold figure could quickly become the one everyone wants, but there’s just a 5% chance of finding one. So someone could get lucky on the first try, while another collector could open box after box and still miss it.

Burger King Is Getting Very Good At Collectibles

Burger King has already been leaning heavily into collectible toys.

The chain’s current Dragon Ball Z Super collaboration launched in September with six exclusive figures tied to the King Jr. Meal. The lineup includes Goku, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku, Vegeta, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta, Piccolo, and Beerus. Burger King also created a Power Up Pack for adults that includes a Dragon Ball figure.

So, instead of giving fans another set of powerful anime characters, the rumored lineup is full of cute and tiny Sanrio characters. Burger King apparently knows there is more than one way to get people excited about a toy, so who knows what the next set of collectibles will be?

Coming In October

The reported Burger King promotion is expected to arrive in October, with leaked information pointing to a run from October 10th through November 30th at participating U.S. locations.

Burger King hasn’t made anything official yet, so so the dates and other promotion details could still change. Regardless, the rumored lineup is already enough to get everyone excited.
