Dunkin’ Is Giving Away 1 Million Free Drinks On This One Day

Dunkin’ has been on a serious freebie streak lately, and coffee fans have another one to look forward to. The chain is handing out a whole lot of free coffee, but there’s one catch: the giveaway is happening on just one day.

On Tuesday, September 22, Dunkin’ plans to give away 1 million free coffees through a promo-code drop. Anyone hoping to score one will need to act fast because once the million freebies are claimed, that’s it.

Mark September 22nd On The Calendar

The big giveaway is happening on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. Dunkin’ Rewards members are expected to receive access to a special promo code that can be entered through the Dunkin’ app to unlock the free coffee. The Dunkin’ code for this type of giveaway usually drops around 12PM ET. 

There are 1 million codes available, but there is no guarantee that they will stick around all day. In fact, if the last one million free Medium Refresher drop is anything to go by, the codes should be used up in a few hours.

Dunkin’ Has Been Giving Away A Lot Of Free Drinks

For those new to Dunkin’, a million free drinks may sound like a huge deal, but Dunkin’ has been getting pretty comfortable with that number, and that’s why I love them.

Back in April, Dunkin’ celebrated April Fools’ Day by giving away 1,000,001 free coffees to Dunkin’ Rewards members. The extra coffee was part of the joke, but the giveaway itself was very real. Customers could use the promo code STILLNOTAJOKE in the Dunkin’ app to claim a free hot or iced coffee. 

The chain followed up with another 1 million free coffees on April 21st and another million in May. By the time summer rolled around, the giveaways were starting to look less like a rare surprise and more like a Dunkin’ tradition. 

August brought a slightly fruitier freebie. Dunkin’ gave Rewards members 1 million free medium Refreshers on August 3rd. The promotion was tied to the launch of Dunkin’ Diehards, the brand’s Instagram broadcast channel, where the promo code was revealed.

A week later, Dunkin’ was already teasing another million free drinks. 

September kept the freebies coming, as Dunkin’ gave away free Pumpkin Spice Signature Lattes on September 8th with a qualifying purchase.

There’s Another Dunkin’ Freebie On September 22nd

The free coffee giveaway isn’t the only reason September 22nd is worth remembering.

Dunkin’ and L.L.Bean are kicking off their first-ever collaboration around the start of fall. On September 22nd, customers can receive a limited-edition Dunkin’ x L.L.Bean Birdseye Sweater Cup Sleeve with a hot or iced coffee purchase at participating Dunkin’ locations, while supplies last. 

The collaboration continues throughout the week, with an in-person event at L.L.Bean’s Seaport store in Boston on September 27th. The event will include complimentary Dunkin’ coffee and Refreshers, along with custom donuts and MUNCHKINS Donut Hole Treats. 

Dunkin’ is also saving another coffee deal for National Coffee Day on September 29th.
