Did everyone know that National Coffee Day and International Coffee Day are only three days apart? Because I’m just learning that right now. The national day is on September 29th and the international day is on October 1st. That’s certainly a choice. At least it makes celebrating the holiday(s) a little easier for us. And for one brand in particular. Fresh Roasted Coffee is looking to give us lots to do to enjoy the festivities ahead.

Know Where Your Coffee Comes From

Most people drink one origin their whole life without knowing it. Their coffee says “dark roast” on the bag, maybe “100% Arabica,” and that’s the end of the information. Meanwhile, the actual differences between a washed Kenyan and a wet-hulled Sumatran are enormous―bigger than the gap between most wine varietals―and almost nobody gets a side-by-side chance to notice.

Fresh Roasted Coffee is using National Coffee Day to fix that. They’re helping us embark on a three-day world tour, one growing region per day, and giving 25% off your coffee to help us afford the trip. By using code COFFEEDAY each day, you can snag the deal starting on National Coffee Day and ending on International Coffee Day.

A New Region To Explore Each Day

Each day, Fresh Roasted Coffee will be highlighting a different source for your coffee. They’ve already released the full list:

Tuesday, September 29 — Central America and the Islands. Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico, Dominican Republic, and 100% Hawaiian Kona direct from Hala Tree Farm in Captain Cook, Hawaii.

Wednesday, September 30 — Africa and the Indo-Pacific. The most instructive day. Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Kochere and Kenya AA on one side―lemon, honey, wine-like fruit―next to Sumatra, Bali, and Indian Monsoon Malabar on the other. Earthy, heavy-bodied, wet-hulled. The comparison that teaches you more in one morning than most people learn in a year of drinking coffee.

Thursday, October 1 — South America, on International Coffee Day. Colombia, Peru, Brazil. The backbone of most people’s daily cup, whether they realize it or not.

If you buy a little coffee each day, you’ll be able to say that you’ve now tried three different origins to your coffee. The world is opening up right in front of our eyes! Is it an earth-shattering deal? No, but it’s certainly nice to treat yourself to the finer things in life and get a few dollars off while you’re at it.
