We Tried Boarderie’s Halloween Dessert Board (& Your Next Halloween Party Needs It)

Halloween season is right around the corner. The stress of hosting a Halloween party can really get to you. No other party comes with such high expectations. Your theme needs to be on point, you’ve got to dress to impress, and you better keep everyone fed if they’re giving up on all that candy they could be getting out Trick-or-Treating.

Boarderie Halloween Large Dessert Board

Pros: There is a lot of variety here! Like a lot, a lot. I’ll try to cover a bit of everything that’s in here but we’d be here for days if I were to mention every little flavor. One of the main features of the dessert board is the section of truffles that include festive flavors like candy corn and caramel apple.

Strewn throughout the dessert board are an assortment of chocolate-enrobed treats. There are chocolate covered pretzel rods, popcorn, and Oreos (my favorite). There’s even a collab of chocolate covered black licorice from Danish confectionery brand Lakrids by Bulow.

Boarderie divides the board with a whole flight of macarons including two new flavors for the season, apple pie and pumpkin spice dark. On either side of the board you’ll find a variety of flavored brownies (a highlight of the board for myself). Another favorite of mine were the Dubai chocolate cakes that come with either biscoff or strawberry added inside, all of course covered with a layer of chocolate as is to be expected by this point.

In the corner you’ll find what will be the host of the party’s favorite part of the dessert board. Boarderie sends a chocolate smash box with a wooden mallet and everything so you can crack that baby open to start the night off. Of course you know candy corn had to make it into the mix. It wouldn’t be a proper Halloween dessert board without a bit of candy corn.

Boarderie sells a general dessert board year round. While this Halloween specific one shares a lot of the same desserts, it is very decidedly Halloween themed to really set itself apart for the occasion. Everything gets a Halloween twist, including the truffles that each are adorned with a spooky icon.

The dessert board comes to your door ready to just be unboxed and thrown out for your guests. There really couldn’t be an easier way to host a Halloween party. You even get a little road map like you would in a box of chocolates so you can both know what you’re eating before you bite into something mysterious and know any potential allergens you may discover.

Cons: There really is a lot to love about this dessert board. There’s a broad diversity of snacks so every taste imaginable can be satisfied. I can really only find one thing not to absolutely love about this board. It’s expensive. I am, unfortunately, not in the era where I can be dropping $250 for a large dessert board. A dessert board that very fairly can go a long way at a party and then some (I brought this to a Survivor watch party, gave away some leftovers, and am still picking at it days later).

I still have complete faith that there is a market for this out there. They wouldn’t be selling these dessert boards if there wasn’t. To those who can spend a pretty penny on going all out for your Halloween party, this is absolutely the dessert board that you should be ordering up for the occasion.
