Little Debbie’s New Muffins Are Made For Cozy Mornings

Little Debbie, busy? Say it ain’t so! The snack cake brand is normally so shy and retiring, after all. In case my sarcastic tone isn’t coming through on the internet, I am, of course, not being serious: Little Debbie moves at a pace previously thought unachievable by humankind, and throughout September it’s been as busy as ever. We’ve had a Crumbl collab, we’ve had a Compartés collab, and we’ve had a new batch of breakfast muffins.

And what better way to celebrate all that than with more goodies? Little Debbie is sending another new muffin our way, and this one’s designed for anyone who ever wished their Christmas cocoa was a bit less liquidy. 

Little Debbie Hot Cocoa Mini Muffins

According to @snackolator, Little Debbie will soon be releasing its Hot Cocoa Mini Muffins for the holiday season. The concept here is that each muffin contains everything you’d get in a cup of cocoa, without any standing over the stove or turning on a kettle. They have a chocolate dough with chocolate pieces and mini marshmallows studded throughout. It’s a fun concept, and while they probably won’t taste exactly like cocoa, we’re also sure no one’s really expecting that. It’s all in the vibe, people. 

As with Little Debbie’s other products, its new Hot Cocoa Mini Muffins will come in 20-count boxes, with four muffins per individually wrapped pouch. I’d imagine they’ll be available at most major retailers that stock Little Debbie items, and that they’ll probably start showing up towards the end of October. It’s still busy selling its Pumpkin Spice Mini Muffins, after all, so we’ll patiently await the turnover in seasonal products.

The People Yearn For Portable, Doughy Cocoa

Little Debbie’s Hot Cocoa Mini Muffins seem to have ignited the Christmas spirit in a lot of folks – are we allowed to be excited about it yet? I am! I love Christmas, so these are my people. @snackolator’s comment section was awash with excitement following this news, with one person saying, “It’s time to pull out the sweaters,” and plenty of others saying that they’re looking forward to trying this new flavor. One person did question whether they might be too sweet — and to be honest, if you’re looking for balanced, nuanced, complex, dark chocolate-inflected flavors, this probably isn’t where you’re going to get them. But if you like your cocoa sugary, these will probably hit the spot.
