You never know how a brand is going to take a negative review of their product. I have wondered about the conversations they must have at HQ when I tell the truth on a real stinker. I’ve certainly not gotten any pushback enough that I thought my life was in danger. Well, until now. One recent new product review was so negative that I thought I was being targeted.

Was Pringles Trying To Threaten Me?
Last week I got a package in the mail from Pringles with little context on what they were sending. All that was inside was a cardboard coffin with a custom-made all-black Pringles can. The only thing inside was a note that said “In 2008, one man made the ultimate commitment. Will you?” The first thing I thought was this must be a threat.
You see, I recently gave the Pringles Mingles a not-so favorable review. Upon Googling “2008 Pringles” an article about the inventor of the Pringles can who was buried in one in 2008. Was this a warning? Were they going to do the same thing to me as they did the Pringles can creator? It turns out, it was just a badly timed tease at their next social media campaign. I’m glad we’re still on good terms, Pringles.
