Little Debbie’s Going Big This October & We Have Questions

Little Debbie remains irrepressible. The baked goods line has kept up a seriously brisk pace throughout 2026, and as this year comes to a close (a fact that fills me with existential dread, but I digress), it’s still putting out new stuff: Its new Hot Cocoa Mini Muffins are due to appear in stores imminently, promising all the joy of cocoa without any of that annoying liquid.

And before October’s out, customers will also see a new Little Debbie treat on shelves. This one’s a variation of its Single Serve Big Iced Honey Buns – but the look of it has prompted a few, err, thoughts, shall we say. What on earth could we possibly mean by that? We might have to tread delicately on this one. 

Little Debbie Big Chocolate Iced Honey Buns

A couple of days ago, food blogger and content creator @markie_devo (who describes himself as “the Willy freaking Wonka of Brooklyn,” which I always love) revealed that Little Debbie’s releasing new Big Chocolate Iced Honey Buns. These new buns are, of course, a chocolate version of its Big Iced Honey Buns, and it looks like the only thing changing here is the icing flavor. There might also be a few nutritional tweaks, given that the Chocolate Iced Honey Buns look as though they have slightly more calories than the standard Iced version – but they look as though they’re the same weight. 

According to @markie_devo, Little Debbie Big Chocolate Iced Honey Buns are due to drop this week. It looks as though they’ll be available in convenience stores.

Ah, yes. So, the positive thing here is that a lot of customers are excited about these new Honey Buns. This looks like an amazing flavor! And l look forward to trying it,” said one person in @markie_devo’s comments. Others, though, have pointed out that this new option, with its mid-brown color and curled-up appearance, looks similar to…well, let’s just say that a certain emoji has been used a few times here. A certain emoji whose eyes and wide grin belie what it’s actually made of. With all that said, though, this is the internet. People are immature. Lots of food looks like lots of other things. And this probably tastes pretty good, all things considered. So don’t let it put you off if you’re in the mood for a chocolate-flavored iced bun.
