Each week we here at Sporked like to give you all a little rundown of the very best things we ate throughout the week. Very often the things that we eat that actually give us the most joy through the sea of chaotic taste tests are potentially even the most mundane. But alas, the heart wants it wants, and we can’t only eat french fries and chicken nuggets all day, every day.

And, ultimately, we figure that if it’s good enough for us, the people who try just about every food under the sun, then it’s probably good enough for you too. These might not be the most exciting, but it’s the hard honest truth about what we’re enjoying most at the moment. So without further ado, these are the three best things we ate this week.
Lifeway Raspberry Kefir
Pretty much most people who have access to kefir in the United States have access to the same brand across the board. Lifeway’s really dominating the space right now, but we don’t mind it. The product they make is great. Using their original flavor in smoothies, or sipping on the raspberry flavor straight has been our go to recently. Not only is it basically just liquid yogurt, to which we’re very familiar with the flavor, but their execution of fruit flavors is always genuine and true rather than artificial. And the fruit flavors aren’t overly sweetened, which we really appreciate. It basically just tastes like if you blended kefir with the fruit of choice and served it up as is. Regardless of the flavor you pick up, the product is great, consistent, and easily one of the most versatile products. You can substitute it in for buttermilk or yogurt in a recipe in a pinch, too.
Butcher’s Organic Chicken Bone Broth
While we could sit here all day and talk about how much we enjoy the Kettle & Fire bone broth selection, it’s not the only option. And recently we’ve been exploring unfamiliar territory in the bone broth world, and stumbled across this one at Costco. Not only is it very gelatinous and full of collagen, but the fact that it is bottled and kept refrigerated, makes it feel more fresh. Basically all of the flavors only need a little touch of salt to be enjoyable to drink on their own. But each also make a great addition to soups and sauces to make them a bit more hearty.
Trader Joe’s Sparkling Water, Lime
Okay, we’ve talked a lot about sparkling water here at Sporked over the years. From ranking all of the best cans of sparkling water to recommendations for the ultimate sip for every occasion, we’ve tasted most of what’s on offer. So when we found one that is new to us that genuinely impressed us we thought it was certainly newsworthy. This week, the sparkling water we tried was perhaps the most unassuming of any we’ve ever reached for. You see, it’s just the Trader Joe’s Sparkling Water in the Lime flavor. It is only 99 cents for a 1-liter bottle, and we picked it up on a whim to have something on hand just in case.
That turned out to be one of the better decisions we’ve made and have now gone through three or four bottles. What’s perfect about it is the fact that if you are having a get-together where you know people will want to drink sparkling water, then this is the perfect solution to having a dozen cans taking up space in the fridge. You can just crack one of these bottles open and finish it out across multiple people’s servings. It not only rivals some of the best lime flavored sparkling water we’ve had, but it doesn’t have that overwhelming bubbly texture that becomes almost unpleasant.
