As yet another week passes us by, we have a new round of BOGO items on the Publix catalog, and it shouldn’t be understated. This catalog is dense and thick with an overwhelming amount of deals. And generally, that’s never something you’re going to catch us complaining about. But everyone’s busy, so we like to break it down for our readers and give you the CliffsNotes-version of the things we think are most important for you all to know.

After all, buy one get one free is pretty much the best deal we can get at the grocery store, so we’re not going to let people miss out on some of the best savings available. These are the top five things we recommend you checking out this week at Publix.

Orville Redenbacher’s Gourmet Popping Corn

Especially as we get close to Halloween, our burning desire to have cozy nights watching all of the Halloween movies and spooky TV shows has never been higher. But if we’re gonna do it, we might as well do it right, right? The best way we can think to celebrate with ease is by stocking up on popcorn. Both the traditional popcorn kernels and the microwave-style popcorn are available on BOGO this week, so you can really choose your own adventure with this sale. Or, if certain people that you plan on hosting during the holiday season have distinct preferences, then you don’t have to pay extra to accommodate.

Chicken Breast Meat

Both Purdue Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts and GreenWise Chicken Breast Tenderloins are on BOGO this week. And, in true Sporked fashion, we don’t let week go by where we don’t mention the chicken that’s on BOGO at Publix. The fact of the matter is, it’s a staple in the diet of most families. So, if we can make sure you’re not paying more unnecessarily then the sale is something we’re going to make sure you’re aware of. At this point, especially if you are planning on hosting for Halloween, we’d recommend stocking stocking up on some tenderloins and throwing them in the freezer, so you have some of your holiday shopping out of the way.

6-Pack Angry Orchard Hard Cider

What is a fall party without some kind of cider thrown into the mix? Okay, well I guess it’s still a party, but if you were looking to stock up this week, then there’s truly never been a better time. Not only are you saving around $12 per 6-pack, but you’re basically breaking it down to around a dollar per bottle of cider if you take advantage of this BOGO deal. The good old American classic, Angry Orchard, might not be the most nuanced and interesting, but it never fails at doing the job. And, since Halloween’s on a Saturday this year, it’s surely going to be parties galore.

Ivy’s Reserve Cheddar Cheese

Alright, while this cheese isn’t necessarily on team for the upcoming holiday, it still shines through deals as something worth highlighting. The quality of this cheese is so high that it genuinely wowed us the first time we had it. The aging and subsequent texture is almost more like like a parmesan with its beautiful crystallization, and honestly, it’s just never disappointed to us. The only thing is, it’s a bit on the expensive side for the amount that you get. So, stocking up now would be the perfect excuse to try out one of our absolute favorite grocery store cheddars.

Old El Paso Taco Shells or Tortillas

Especially with all of the holidays to work around at this point, we’ve never been seeking out easy, simple meals more. Luckily, Old El Paso is always there to have our back. Sometimes we just want a good crunchy taco to satisfy us at the end of the day. Whether or not you’re going to use them today or two weeks from now, it’s a good time to pick up your favorite taco shells for a rainy day.
