I am the designated cookie monster of my family. If there’s a new cookie on the shelves, I’m the first to know about it and try it. Ever since I was a child, Pepperidge Farms has been a favorite brand of mine and now they’ve just launched a new cookie variation that’s the first of its kind. And no, we’re not talking about another chocolate chip cookie remix (although we love those, too). Enter: sourdough cookies.

Pepperidge Farms Launches First Of Its Kind Sourdough Cookies

Yes, sourdough had a moment back between 2019 and 2022. However, the love for it hasn’t slowed down. Turns out, the sourdough obsession wasn’t just a pandemic hobby we all collectively forgot about. In fact, sourdough is the number one bakery trend of 2026, according to Puratos.

Pepperidge Farms has created three sourdough cookie flavors made with real sourdough and other specialty ingredients for a unique flavor profile that you’ll need to taste for yourself. They are quite unique and unlike anything I’ve tried before.

As mentioned above, the collection features three flavors and here’s what you can expect:

  • Dark Chocolate Sourdough with Brown Butter: Dark chocolate chunks with a rich brown butter flavor. This one’s already making a very strong case for chocolate enthusiasts.
  • Cinnamon Sugar Sourdough with Vanilla Bean: Cinnamon and crunchy pearl sugar with a hint of vanilla. Think cozy cinnamon-sugar vibes with a little something extra.
  • White Chocolate Sourdough with Raspberry: White chocolate chips with raspberry flavor. A sweet-and-tart combo for anyone who likes their cookies with a fruity twist.

Where To Get The New Pepperidge Farms Sourdough Cookies

Want to try them for yourself? They have already hit shelves at Walmart for $5.89 and you’ll be able to find them nationwide across retailers such as, Kroger, Target and Amazon starting early next year. In other words, there’s no need to start baking your own sourdough just to get in on the trend. A little cookie taste test? Honestly, that’s the kind of homework we can get behind.

If I were you, I’d buy all three flavors just to try them all, then you can make the decision of what is your favorite. Mine is the dark chocolate, but the white chocolate is a close second. Oh, and we won’t judge if you eat the whole bag in one sitting—it’s actually quite easy to do. And yes, I’m talking from personal experience.
