The best Christmas coffee creamers turn a regular ol’ cup of coffee into a sweet, festive seasonal treat. As a person who pretty much always purchases the same coffee creamer (Chobani Sweet Cream, our numero uno best coffee creamer of them all), I don’t typically pay a lot of attention to what hits the dairy aisle out around the holidays. But I raided the seasonal coffee creamer section for this taste test to find the best holiday creamer of them all.

What I discovered when I was sourcing seasonal coffee creamer: Peppermint Mocha is pretty much the big daddy of Christmas coffee creamer flavors. This tells me that a lot of people believe that peppermint—the flavor of toothpaste—tastes good in coffee. I am not one of them! Because so many of the creamers we tried were peppermint mocha-flavored, this list is brief. But sometimes brevity is good, right? And don’t worry, I set aside my misgivings to find the best creamer for you peppermint mocha heads, too. From sugar cookie to gingerbread, here’s the best holiday coffee creamer.

Best Cookie (Runner-Up)

International Delight Grinch Gingerbread Cookie Dough

This is a nice, thick Christmas coffee creamer with a distinct ginger flavor. I happened to taste test this holiday creamer on the same day we did our most recent ginger cookie taste test, and this really has those vibes. There’s not a lot of bite, but there’s definitely brightness. If you use pumpkin spice creamer all fall, this is the perfect transition to winter flavors. I brought this bottle home for my coffee!

Best Sweet

International Delight Grinch Frosted Sugar Cookie

This Christmas coffee creamer may be Grinch themed, but I’m happy to report that International Delight Frosted Sugar Cookie will not ruin Christmas. Be forewarned: International Delight creamer is made with water, oil, and sugar with a litttttle added milk derivative; it does not compare to coffee creamers made with real cream. Still, this does a good job of channeling the sweet, buttery flavor of a sugar cookie (and when I say sweet, I mean sweet). It’s something that’ll make you feel like a kid again, if you were a kid who

Best Peppermint Mocha

Chobani Peppermint Mocha Coffee Creamer

Okay, as we’ve already established, I do not think peppermint and mocha and coffee belong together in one mug. But if you insist on drinking something that tastes like hot toothpaste spit after you ate a Hershey’s Kiss, then Chobani is the way to go. Where other brands really overdid it with the peppermint—seriously, Coffee-mate, hot coffee shouldn’t cool your mouth!—Chobani is much more mocha forward, with just a hint of peppermint flavor in the background. This Christmas coffee creamer also has the signature, rich dairy flavor I love in Chobani creamers. Need proof that this really is one of the best holiday coffee creamers? I also took this home and have been using it in my morning coffee.

Best of the Best

Chobani Oat Gingerbread Coffee Creamer

I firmly believe that Chobani is the coffee creamer GOAT, and this Christmas coffee creamer is proof posi that’s the case. Chobani’s biggest assets are its unbelievable creaminess and rich dairy flavor. Somehow, this oat-based, dairy-free, totally vegan creamer is every bit as rich and luscious as their dairy offerings. If it didn’t say “oat” on the carton, I don’t think I would have known the difference. That thick, wonderful oat milk is an excellent base for the sharp ginger flavor in this creamer, which is tempered just a bit by the warm, round flavor of brown sugar. This is the best holiday creamer for a perfect holiday morning treat.

About the Author

Gwynedd Stuart

Howdy! I’m Gwynedd, Sporked’s managing editor. I live in Los Angeles and have access to the best tacos the U.S. has to offer—but I’m a sucker for a crunchy Old El Paso taco night every now and then. I’ve been at Sporked since 2022 and I’m still searching frozen mozzarella sticks that can hold a candle to restaurant sticks. Why you should trust me: I’ve been a journalist for 20 years (yikes), a consumer of food for 40-plus years, and I’m truly hard pressed to think of foods I don’t like (or that I can’t tolerate at the very least). Oh and one time I cooked my way through Guy Fieri’s cookbook and wrote about the journey through Flavortown. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s Original Savory Thins. Fat free plain yogurt (usually Fage or Nancy’s). Honeycrisp apples. Sweet cream coffee creamer for my at-home Americanos. A frozen cauliflower crust pizza and some jarred mushrooms to top it with. Old El Paso Stand ‘N Stuff taco shells and Gardein Ground Be’f, even though I think “be’f” is a nightmarish contraction. Favorite ranking: Stouffer’s frozen dinners. I don’t own a microwave (I get my cancers the old fashioned way!), so I love taste testing things that I don’t really buy to eat at home. Least favorite ranking: Soy sauce. Don’t get me wrong, I love soy sauce—but consuming that much sodium in one sitting is probably illegal in some countries. Our frozen enchilada taste test was a close second; the smell of microwaved corn tortillas still haunts me.
