If you want to know what food products you should be buying, honestly, there’s no better source than a professional chef. These people know what’s good, people – and yes, while they may be contractually obligated to promote certain items, you’d hope that they’re willing to put their mouth where their money is and not shill for something that isn’t any good.

Which brings us to Bobby Flay’s pantry tour, which he posted recently on his Instagram, and which we’re about to dive into. Not just because he gave us a tip-off about which BBQ sauce we should all be buying, but also because we need some culinary inspiration around Easter.

Bobby Flay’s Favorite BBQ Sauce: A Bone Suckin’ Delight

Flay’s pantry tour was posted as a clip from his “Bobby on the Beat” podcast, and in it, he broke down the items that he keeps on hand for when he’s cooking. And trust us when we say that he has a lot of stuff. “It’s kind of crazy how much stuff I actually really need because I’m cooking in my house all the time,” Flay said while giving his tour. “Whether I’m just cooking, you know, dinner or lunch or breakfast or a snack or a game-time meal, or we’re shooting some videos, I need a significant pantry.” Yeah, we can tell, Bobby, that thing is stacked.

As he works his way through his favorite products in the clip, he eventually lands on Bone Suckin’ Sweet Southern Sauce, which he calls “[his] favorite one.” We’ve actually got our own history with Bone Suckin’ Sauce here at Sporked: A couple of years back, we voted its Chophouse Style Steak Sauce as one of our favorite steak sauces ever, and it also made one of our “Best Things We Ate This Week” lists. So, trust us when we say that we respect Flay’s judgment here and agree with it.

A Tidy Pantry Is a Happy Pantry

In Flay’s video tour, he also broke down how he organized his pantry. Flay divides his dried goods into labeled jars, which he keeps above his condiments, jams, olives, capers, and spices. Above the dried goods are his canned tomatoes, which are popped next to flours and oats. Over on the other side, he has his teas, coffees, and bags, cans, and pouches of Made by Nacho cat food. Remember when we talked about promoting certain items? Well, this is the TV chef’s own brand, so, yeah. Hey, we’re sure he has bills to pay like the rest of us.

You can check out the full array of Flay’s chosen products over at the clip on Instagram. Now that we’ve watched it, we’ll be re-acquainting ourselves with Bone Suckin’ Sauce. Excuse us.
