We love fast food ordering hacks. And look, before you come at us, we know that true hacks are few and far between, and that a lot of the time, what constitutes a “hack” is simply just asking for an item to be prepared in a slightly different way. But! The feeling that you’re side-stepping around the standard method of doing things and getting a slightly more bespoke meal cooked to your specifications is a nice one – and anything that makes fast food slightly better is good by us.

So, if you’re sick of your Costco food court pizza being on the soggy, gummy side, then you’ll be with us on this one. Crispy pizza? All you have to do is ask.
Give It Another Spin in the Oven, Please
If you prefer your pizza to be on the crunchy side, then when you’re putting in your order, you just have to ask for it to be made extra crispy, or else for the chef to leave it in the oven for double the time. It doesn’t take an Einstein to figure out that doing this firms up the crust considerably more, which allows you to side-step the gumminess that Costco pizzas can often be subject to. Beyond this, it also makes your pizza a lot sturdier, which helps massively to stop it from getting crushed on the drive home.
Naturally, it’s not great form to do this when there’s a huge queue behind you, in the full knowledge that your bespoke pizza will be taking up precious oven time. Oh, and just bear in mind that your toppings might be a little on the burnt side. But for that crispy crust? Well, we’d say it’s worth it, people. Don’t forget to pick up Costco’s new Girl Scout-coded sundae while you’re there, too: You’ll probably be thankful for the extra moisture after crunching through that ‘za.
Costco Hacks Aplenty
If this hack doesn’t feel adventurous enough for you, then don’t worry: There are plenty of other ways for you to get your fill of messing with the Costco food court menu. If you’re really hungry, then combine pizza and Costco’s famous hot dog to make yourself a pizza dog. Order both, deconstruct your hot dog, grab your slice, wrap the weiner in it, and go to town. Or, construct what Costco fans fondly call the “Forbizzen Glizzy,” by buying a chicken bake and a hot dog, and then inserting the sausage into the bake. It’s not the healthiest thing in the world, but if you were expecting it to be, well, we don’t know what to tell ya.
That said, if you want to keep things simple, but still like your food court experience to be just that bit different, then you need to get the Costco hot dog holder that we covered a while back. Trust us: It’s a much more ergonomic way of carrying it around.
