Have you ever wondered where your neighbors were getting those waxy chocolate coins and generic bubble gum eyeballs? Dollar Tree. I’m no economist, but buying a massive bag of candy at Dollar Tree for only $1.25 seems like a big money saver if you’re expecting to have costumed neighbor children beg you for free candy on Halloween this year. But hear me out: Dollar Tree Halloween candy isn’t just off-brand gummies and questionable-looking chocolates. They have name brands, too (although they are a little pricier, sorry). What we have here is a mix of both—just like a classic Halloween trick-or-treat haul. Here’s the best Halloween at Dollar Tree we spotted on a recent visit.
- Halloween-Themed Bubblegum Eyeballs Candy
-
How is Dollar Tree able to sell a bag of 35 bubble gum eyeballs for $1.25? I simply do not know! What I can tell you is you need to rush down to the nearest Dollar Tree right now so you don’t miss out on the eyeball deal of the century. You can give out one gum ball to every trick or treater that comes by and only spend like five bucks! Sure, a gumball isn’t going to get you cred like a full-size candy bar would, but it’s enough to keep your house from getting TP’d and that’s enough for me when it comes to cheap Dollar Tree Halloween candy.
- Watermelon Flavored Candy Blood Bags with Plastic Fangs
-
What you get in this bag are plastic vampire fangs that come with oozing watermelon flavored candy that looks like blood. I hate to make teachers’ jobs even harder than they already are, but just imagine how cool your kid will be when they bring enough of these for everyone in their class. Pretty freaking cool, if you ask me. I don’t want to say you’ll lock in their spot for prom royalty as early as the second grade, but I’m not not saying that. There are only seven fangs per bag from Dollar Tree, so just make sure you plan accordingly so no one’s left out of the fun.
- SpongeBob Squarepants Krabby Patty Mix
-
You gotta hand it to SpongeBob. He’s somehow managed to stay relevant all these years and not many can do it. This selection isn’t just to celebrate his legacy, though. We need some more gummy candy on this list and the Krabby Patty gives options, which is ideal for pleasing as many of your neighbors as you can this Halloween. This mix comes with original, sour, and Pretty Patties (six different flavors and colors). They’re all individually wrapped so you can let the neighborhood kids dig their grubby little hands through the assortment until they find their perfect “burger.”
- Tootsie Pops Extra Value Bag
-
I’ve always been a fan of Tootsie Pops over bubblegum pops, so I may be showing a little bias here. When don’t I, though? Now to address the other elephant in the room: the name. I’m not fully sure why there’s an “extra value” and a “regular value” bag of Tootsie Pops available for the same price at Dollar Tree. I’m not going to look a gift horse in the mouth here, so I’m just gonna go ahead and grab the “extra value” while it’s available.
- Hi-Chew Fruit Chews
-
I think there’s some novelty in, well…being the novelty house on the block when it comes to Halloween candy. You can’t just stumble into it, though—you need to be selective. You need something to set yourself apart. I think Hi-Chew is the right choice for the job. It’s not a traditional Halloween candy, so you most likely won’t be grabbing the same item as your neighbor. You also have a selection to choose from (Watermelon, Apple/Mango, and Rainbow Sherbet/Blue Raspberry), so you can adjust the the mix to meet your own tastes (for those sweet, sweet leftovers).
- Assorted Mars Favorites Mini Chocolate Candy Bars
-
I couldn’t make a list of Halloween candy at Dollar Tree and not recommend the perfect assortment of chocolate candies to hand out. This Mars mix comes with mini 3 Musketeers, Milky Way, Snickers, and Twix, which is just enough variety for a handful to please any kid coming by and have an odd one out for their parents to munch on (personally, my mom always got the 3 Musketeers out of my bag).
