I’ve told you all before that I’m an anxious shopper. But the larger, perhaps more crippling problem is that I’m an indecisive shopper. The way I overthink even the simplest purchasing decisions is a plague on my daily life. No joke, I spent an hour on Costco’s website over the weekend trying to pick out one (ONE) set of bath towels. Before you ask: I didn’t buy any bath towels. They’re still sitting in my cart as we speak. I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. You see the problem at hand.

While this psychology may be baffling to some, I’ll defend myself by saying something I hope is a little relatable here: I barely trust corporate America to sell me anything worth my dime anymore. Yes, that includes Costco. And I love Costco. I’ve defended Costco to the ends of the earth and back. But a business is a business. End of story.
And that, my friends, is where customer reviews come in. An online lender called NetCredit analyzed millions of customer ratings on Costco products to find the ones that have the highest percentage of five star reviews online. Which is just a bunch of mumbo-jumbo to say: These are the Costco kitchen products that ranked highest according to shoppers.
Best Knives: Viking German Steel Knife Block Set (15-piece)
Rating: 94% (rating calculated by percentage of 5-star reviews)
Price: $152.99
Don’t be fooled by the words “15-piece.” This set comes with 12 knives, a sharpening tool, scissors, and a knife block. See? 15 pieces. Oh, capitalism. How you make me laugh.
In all seriousness, I still think it’s a good deal for high quality knives. German steel knives are known for their durability and sharpness. They’re great for beginner and seasoned home cooks. Handwash is recommended for these but not required, which I really appreciate. (If we can send people to the dark side of the moon, we can make dishwasher-safe knives, and I’m tired of pretending otherwise.)
Best Storage Containers: Bentgo Glass Food & Storage Set (8-piece)
Rating: 95%
Price: $33.99
Okay, okay—this is a good deal for high quality glass storage containers. And they’re cute. If I didn’t just buy glass storage on Amazon (a decision I’m now regretting—SEE. THIS IS MY PROBLEM!) I would add these to my cart in a heartbeat.
Best Utensil Set: All-Clad Utensil Set (8-piece)
Rating: 90.6%
Price: $119.99 (currently only $89.99 through 4/15, though!)
This is a dishwasher-safe stainless steel set that includes seven utensils and one caddy. All-Clad is a tried-and-true stainless steel cookware brand; they have similar sets for over $300 at Williams Sonoma. But if you don’t have a Costco membership, you can find this exact set on their website discounted for $199.99 right now. (So really, Costco shoppers are getting a pretty nice deal at $89.99!)
Best Cookware Set: Hexclad Hybrid Cookware Set (5-piece)
Rating: 90.34%
Price: $349.99
Look. Anyone who uses Hexclad will tell you it’s a great cookware brand. (By anyone, I do mean my mother, a proud Hexclad supporter.) But this is one of those times where I say, two pots and a griddle? That’s not worth $350. Because that’s what you get in this “5-piece” cookware set. A big pot, a small pot, a griddle, and two lids. See? Five pieces. Deceitful bastards.
These 7-piece Hexclad pans, however, make more sense to me at a $379 price point. I’ll just say that and move on.
Best Kitchen Product Overall: USA Pan Baking Sheets (4-piece)
Rating: 96%
Price: $59.99
These USA Pan Baking Sheets had the highest number of five stars out of every online Costco kitchen item. And for once, a 4-piece set really does mean a 4-piece set. Hallelujah. It has four baking sheets of varying sizes. These are supposedly dishwasher safe but handwash recommended (according to one review, their dishwasher did ruin the finish). They have a nonstick silicone based coating, aluminized steel construction, and they’re made in the USA. They are super thick for baking sheets, stack beautifully, and have a ton of durability. Is the price a little high for my liking? Yeah. But sometimes you really do get what you pay for, I guess!
