Way back in December 2024, Lindt dropped a (relatively) inexpensive version of the cult favorite confection: Dubai chocolate. It sold out pretty much instantly. Now, it’s back not only on Lindt’s website but also on grocery store shelves. But is it actually any good? As Sporked’s resident Dubai chocolate expert (I led the taste test for our Dubai chocolate ranking), I gave the bar a taste to find out.
Before we get into the flavors, let’s just run down what you’re actually getting with a Lindt Dubai chocolate bar. It’s a milk chocolate bar filled with pistachio cream, crispy kadayif threads, and almond brittle. You can currently order the bars on Lindt’s website for $14.99 a pop (with a five bar minimum) or you can single bars for $14.99 at places like Albertsons-owned stores, Walmart, and Target. If you’re thinking about stocking up, make sure you check the best by date. Due to the filling, these chocolate bars only last a couple months!
Here’s the official Sporked review of the Lindt Dubai chocolate bar.
Pros: First of all, let’s just agree that Lindt milk chocolate is simply delicious. It’s creamy with a slightly fruity tang. You bite into it and it has just the slightest resistance before it melts in your mouth. And the filling of this Dubai chocolate bar perfectly complements that flavor. It’s not too strong—it has a gently salty pistachio flavor. There’s a terrific crispy crunch from the kadayif. And it’s somewhat cheaper (and certainly more widely available) than the other Dubai chocolate bars on the market, many of which retail for $20 or more per bar.
Cons: There isn’t a ton of filling. It’s a much more delicate version of a Dubai chocolate bar. You won’t get any pistachio cream oozing out of the bar. For some, that might be a pro. But I would have preferred a slightly thicker, more filled bar. And, though it is cheaper than many other Dubai chocolate bars, it’s still $15. And that’s a lot to pay for a candy bar.
Verdict: If you’ve been curious about Dubai chocolate, Lindt’s Dubai chocolate bar is a great way to try it. You don’t need to get bars shipped. You don’t need to pay $50. It’s a super tasty treat—and I will be finishing my bar—but it’s not the best Dubai chocolate I’ve ever had. That said, I will be updating our ranking and recommending it to folks as an affordable alternative to our number one.
