Lindt Is Discontinuing Two Lindor Truffles—So You Better Stock Up Now

Lindt puts out a lot of limited edition Lindor truffles. They come, they go. We pine for them, they return. But this time Lindt is taking two Lindor truffles off the shelf for good. Pour one out for both the milk chocolate and dark chocolate non-dairy oatmilk truffles.

When are the Lindor oatmilk truffles going away?

Per VegNews, there’s no official date yet. All we know is that some time in the future the non-dairy truffles will be gone. My guess is that they’ve stopped making them, so when stock runs out it simply won’t be re-upped. If you love these little balls of oatmilk chocolate, though, it would behoove you to go ahead and order some from the Lindt website, ASAP. 

Are people sad?

If the comments on VegNews’ Instagram post are to be believed, then yes, people are downright distraught. “What’s the point of anything anymore,” one person commented. “NOOOOOO! They were the best!” another wrote. “Life is a prison,” another particularly bereft fan wrote. 

I can’t say the Sporked team is particularly shocked at this decision, though. We were less than wowed by the flavor of these oatmilk truffles. So you won’t hear us moaning. However, we mourn for our non-dairy pals’ loss.  

Is there any Lindt chocolate non-dairy people can eat?

Yes! Just not oatmilk chocolate. One Redditor reached out to the brand and was directed to nine non-dairy Lindt chocolates: Excellence Bars in 70%, 85%, 90%, and 95% cacao, Dark Chocolate Swiss Thins, Large Surfin Bittersweet Bars, and the seasonal Dark Chocolate Gold Bunny. Will any of those satisfy a Lindor truffle craving? Alas, they will not. You’ll just have to cross your fingers and toes and hope that Lindt is busy at work with a new and improved non-dairy truffle.
