Aldi is the unsung hero of weekly shopping. Like Trader Joe’s, they’re putting out new, creative products every single week and doing it at unbeatable prices. I won’t spoil too much, but I’ll just say this week Aldi has what I think will be one of the most experimental and impressive foods we’ll see for quite some time.

Breakfast Best Breakfast Pitas (4/8; $5.99)
Breakfast in a pita. That’s innovation! These portable pockets of goodness will come in two flavors: egg and cheese and sausage and cheese. Personally, I would have liked to see egg, cheese, and sausage, but maybe I can just double decker them for the time being.
Chili Garlic Edamame (4/8; $2.89)
A side of edamame will set you back at least $5 at your local sushi spot, but Aldi’s flavored version comes in at under $3. You really can’t beat that! Dig straight into a bag when you get home or save a few in the back of the freezer when you need to add a little oomph to your next takeout night.
Mama Cozzi’s Neapolitan Style Bianca or Supreme Pizza (4/8; $5.49)
Aldi has put out some fantastic pizzas in the past. How will Mama Cozzi’s new Neapolitan Style Bianca or Supreme pizza stack up among the other contenders? I’d say the odds are in Mama Cozzi’s favor.
Specially Selected Norwegian Crispbread (4/8; $3.49)
Bread but healthier! Or are they crackers? Let’s just settle on a blend of the two because that adequately describes how you can choose to dig in. Serve these suckers with meat and cheese for a hearty snack or make a meal of the everything seasoned crispbread with a schmear of cream cheese and some smoked salmon.
Casa Mamita Stuffed Nachos (4/8; $4.29)
I already fawned over these stuffed nachos in the monthly Aldi roundup last week. Let me tell you, this has been the slowest week of my life. Thankfully, they’re almost here! I’ll be grabbing all three varieties, Queso, Beef & Cheese, and Kickin’ Chicken, just to check them all out before deciding on my favorite.
Other stuff to keep an eye out for this month…
Simply Nature Organic Tea Bags
Aldi’s launching three herbal tea supplements in “sleep, immunity, and detox.” So hopefully your ailments fall under one of those three areas to get the best results.
Barissimo Collagen Coffee Cups
Nothing like an added bonus of collage in your morning cup of joe! One variety of Aldi’s new coffee cups is “classic” (understandably) and the one flavored variety they went with was “carrot cake” (incredibly surprisingly). I guess they really wanted to help you celebrate Easter with a bang.
