What do you do if, when at Dunkin’, you suddenly find (like a sickly Victorian child) that you’re feeling all pale, drawn, and completely lacking in energy? You get a coffee, right? Well, what if you’re just not feeling coffee that day? Well, Dunkin’s got ya covered, too.

Although the chain has made its name on its hot drinks (and its donuts), it’s also gradually been catering more and more to all you energy drink lovers out there, through its Sparked line. Now, it’s planting an even bigger flag in the to-go energy drinks space, and as part of its line of new spring drinks menu, it’s just rolled out Dunkin’ Zero, its new, sugar-free energized beverage, which comes in six different flavors. Here’s what to expect.
Mid-Morning Pick-Me-Up? Dunkin’s Got You Even More Covered Than Before
According to Dunkin’, its Dunkin’ Zero drinks will come in “six bold, fruit-forward flavors,” all of them lightly carbonated and containing zero grams of sugar. Said bold, fruit-forward flavors are:
- Blackberry Tangerine
- Tropical Mango
- Juicy Peach
- Glamberry
- Sunzest
- Blushpop
Those first three are pretty self-explanatory, but those last ones, with those cutesy names, are combos of the more standard flavors. Glamberry mixes Blackberry Tangerine and Juicy Peach, Sunzest is Juicy Peach and Tropical Mango, and Blushpop is Tropical Mango and Blackberry Tangerine. That all feels very circular to us, and we love it.
These new drinks are, so sayeth Dunkin’, part of its push to offer more options to its customers (we guess that its decision to test 48oz cold drink buckets falls under that remit, too). “Dunkin’ has always been part of how people start their day, and with Dunkin’ Zero, we’re expanding how we fuel it,” said Jill Nelson, Dunkin’s CMO, in a statement. “It’s zero sugar energy that delivers bold flavor without compromise and fits seamlessly into the rhythm of everyday life.”
Oh, and to celebrate the drinks’ launch (and to promote them), Dunkin’s running a lil’ promo for ya. Head to any Dunkin’ store between March 4 and 18 after 1 p.m., and you can get a medium Dunkin’ Zero for $3. You just have to be a Dunkin’ Rewards member.
Okay, That’s All Great. How Do They Taste, Though?
Well…so far, reviews haven’t exactly been glowing. Responses to these drinks have started trickling in from Dunkin’ customers on websites like Reddit, and people aren’t head over heels with the new Zero line. One commenter called them “meh” and said, “I’m not liking the aftertaste of the fake sugars. Plus the fake sugars make it taste even sweeter.” Others stated that their flavors were generally just a little bit underwhelming, while again mentioning that they tasted too sweet.
We’ll reserve judgment until we hear more (or try them ourselves), but we hope these aren’t just one big dud. Because you know what we hate? Duds.
