Leaked Panera Menu Reveals Salad Stuffers, Bundt Cakes, and More

There’s a mole in the system at Panera. How do we know this? Because there have been leaks, people. Leaks. Hot on the heels of its first-ever value menu and new energy drinks, the word has landed at our door that Panera’s got even more new stuff planned for the next couple of weeks. The only problem for the restaurant, though, is that it may not have wanted us to know that just yet.

Well, sucks to be Panera, because Reddit will wait for no one. A leaked Panera menu was posted in the Panera subreddit a few days back, and it gave us a look at a bunch of new stuff. Here’s what it’s (allegedly) got in store.

Salad Stuffers

The biggest reveal in this leaked menu is Panera’s new Salad Stuffers. This new item is basically a mash-up: You’ll soon be able to order a hollowed-out Italian Stuffer Roll, filled with your favorite half salad portion. If you’re opting for a chicken salad, it’ll be diced instead of sliced, just FYI. 

Lil’ Lemon Bundt Cake

A brand-new item here in the form of Panera’s new Lil’ Lemon Bundt Cake, which the restaurant describes as “a personal-sized sweet lemon cake with a white icing glaze, naturally flavored.” They look as though they’re about the size of your hand, and they’ll be sold individually. 

New Salads

Panera’s soon to be offering two new salads: A Steakhouse Salad and a Santa Fe Chicken Salad. Both start with Romaine lettuce, with the Steakhouse Salad having steak (obvs), bacon, and gorgonzola, and the Santa Fe Chicken Salad having sliced chicken, taco seasoning, and feta. Other Updates

There’s quite a bit that Panera has in store for this new menu, apparently. It’s removing a lot of its seasonal items, including its Autumn Squash Soup, Harvest Medley Salad, and Fall/Winter Yogurt Parfaits. It also has several items coming back, like its Strawberry Poppyseed Salad, Mexican Street Corn Chowder, and Frozen Strawberry Lemonade. It’s going to be a big refresh. 

When Are These New Items Arriving?

Word on Leak Street is that this update is due to drop on April 8. We can expect a bit of fanfare about it ahead of time, but we just love bringing you the news a little earlier than that.

And Who Leaked This Menu, Exactly? 

It’s not entirely clear. This menu is clearly meant to be for internal use by restaurants: It has “Franchise Use Only” marked on the bottom of it, and it also contains instructions on how to store and prepare these new dishes. There’s also a very clear “Confidential and Proprietary” label on the menu. So… it probably should never have reached the internet in the first place. But, it did – and so here we are.
