Y’all, it isn’t enough to just have coffee. We need coffee with protein, extra-caffeinated coffee with no sugar, and most importantly, low-sugar coffee that tastes like an Italian dessert. Lucky for us, there are five new Starbucks’ ready-to-drink coffees coming to fulfill all these hyper-specific needs. Read this news with your nose in a bag of coffee grounds for the best experience.

Starbucks Coffee & Protein Drinks
First and foremost, Starbucks isn’t just getting into the protein game in their cafes; we’ll see a new line of bottled Coffee & Protein drinks hit grocery stores everywhere. These new Starbucks drinks contain 22 grams of protein, 5 grams of prebiotic fiber, and 2 grams of sugar per 12oz bottle. Flavor-wise, the brand is starting off with two options: Classic Caffè and Caffè Mocha. Those are pretty complicated names for Regular and Chocolate, if you ask me.
Starbucks Doubleshot Energy Zero Sugar
Zero sugar is the way of the future, folks; whether it’s soda or juice, sugar is practically a dirty word these days. Starbucks is following suit with a Zero Sugar extension to their canned Doubleshot Energy line. At less than 100 calories per 16oz can, these new French Vanilla and Dark Chocolate drinks are sure to perk up your morning without inducing a sugar crash.
Chocolate Hazelnut Gelato Starbucks Frappuccino Lite
And for those who want just a little sugar, Starbucks is adding a new flavor to their “Frappuccino Lite” line of drinks. The new Chocolate Hazelnut Gelato flavor will join Sea Salt Caramel Gelato, Creamy Vanilla Gelato, and Double Chocolate Gelato on shelves in the near future. With no added sugar, these 100-calorie options are definitely “Lite” compared to the regular Starbucks Frappuccinos which contain 200 calories per bottle.
When are these new Starbucks drinks hitting shelves?
We won’t have to wait too long for these new Starbucks drinks. Per the brand, all five will hit shelves starting March 23rd – just under a month at the time of this writing. (If you can’t wait that long, you can probably get a decent facsimile of any of these drinks at a real Starbucks by ruining some poor barista’s life with a complicated order.) As for where these will be available, I’d start looking at Target.
