Remember when Idina Menzel performed at the Oscars in 2014 and John Travolta called her “the Wickedly talented, one-and-only Adele Dazeem”? Okay, good—I just want to make sure no one forgets about that. But in other news, there are two new Takis flavors and they sound “wickedly” good, which I say because they are Wicked themed!

The second installment of the “wickedly” popular two-part film adaptation of the Broadway show is heading to theaters in late November, and, at the moment, the snack-food collabs abound. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves—let’s Taki ‘bout these eye-catching new Takis.

What are these new Takis flavors and will they be “Popular”?

Look! Liking Wicked isn’t my entire personality, but I made a little Wicked joke there! Good for me. Anyway, the two new Takis flavors are Spellbinding Sweet and Emerald Heat. The former are Glinda-coded: pink, sweet (they’re cinnamon-sugar flavored), and zero heat. The latter are, naturally, Elphaba-coded:=bright green with a heat level listed as “extreme.” Have you ever had Zombie Takis? Well, that’s what these are, down to the cucumber habanero flavor. Early reviews are mixed (here’s an emphatically negative and extremely annoying one), but people love Wicked. They love limited-edition products. And they love Takis—citric acid, and all.

When can I get my witchy little hands on Wicked Takis and for how long?

They’ve been spotted on shelves at Five Below; we didn’t find them when we went looking at our local Five Below on September 26, but October 1 was the official release date, so you might have more luck this week than we did last week.

According to People, you’ll also find the new Takis in Albertsons-owned grocery stores starting on October 27 and then Kroger stores beginning November 1. As we said, they’re both limited edition flavors, so once they’re gone, they’re gone.

What other Wicked-branded foods are down the pike?

Wickedly good question, Adele! Other things we’ve spotted online include Sour Wild Berry Wicked Skittles, Ozmopolitan Pink and Wickedly Wonderful Green Hostess Cupcakes, and Rice Krispies Treats topped with pink and green sprinkles. We already tried the two Wicked cereals from General Mills (Wicked Glinda Good Berry Elphaba Caramel Apple), and it turns out we’re team Elphaba when it comes to breakfast foods.

Which Wicked Takis are you more excited to try?

Let's Taki 'bout that…

Gwynedd Stuart

Howdy! I’m Gwynedd, Sporked’s managing editor. I live in Los Angeles and have access to the best tacos the U.S. has to offer—but I’m a sucker for a crunchy Old El Paso taco night every now and then. I’ve been at Sporked since 2022 and I’m still searching frozen mozzarella sticks that can hold a candle to restaurant sticks. Why you should trust me: I’ve been a journalist for 20 years (yikes), a consumer of food for 40-plus years, and I’m truly hard pressed to think of foods I don’t like (or that I can’t tolerate at the very least). Oh and one time I cooked my way through Guy Fieri’s cookbook and wrote about the journey through Flavortown. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s Original Savory Thins. Fat free plain yogurt (usually Fage or Nancy’s). Honeycrisp apples. Sweet cream coffee creamer for my at-home Americanos. A frozen cauliflower crust pizza and some jarred mushrooms to top it with. Old El Paso Stand ‘N Stuff taco shells and Gardein Ground Be’f, even though I think “be’f” is a nightmarish contraction. Favorite ranking: Stouffer’s frozen dinners. I don’t own a microwave (I get my cancers the old fashioned way!), so I love taste testing things that I don’t really buy to eat at home. Least favorite ranking: Soy sauce. Don’t get me wrong, I love soy sauce—but consuming that much sodium in one sitting is probably illegal in some countries. Our frozen enchilada taste test was a close second; the smell of microwaved corn tortillas still haunts me.
