Well lads, it officially ’tis the season, and as such, every candy company on Mariah Carey’s green earth is coming out with new candy for us to stuff our stockings, our faces, and our cupboards with. What new candies are coming down the pike this month? Everything from chocolates to gummies to cool edible rocks, and, boy, are we stoked to try them all over here at Sporked—and if you have a sweet tooth, we bet you are, too. Here are eight new candies to keep an eye out for this month.

M&M’s Winter Blend

M&M’s describes the new Winter Blend as “a cool mix of M&M’S Milk Chocolate in white and icy-blue lentils bringing holiday cheer to every handful.” Now, for us regular people, I believe that means these are regular milk chocolate M&M’s in a mixture of colors that would make Elsa from Frozen proud. That is to say, white, light blue, and icy pale blue. The only baffling part to me is their use of the word “lentils” to describe individual M&Ms (is that what they are called?!), but regardless, this just seems like a fun, aesthetic new M&M’s color scheme.

Not new but returning: If a new color scheme isn’t exciting enough, a seasonal flavor is returning, too: Toasty Holiday Peanut M&M’s. Snack correspondent Griffin Parker tried them last year and loved them—and he isn’t even a Peanut M&M’s fan. If you are, these are a must-try.

Twix Snowmen

Lately, it has given candy companies great joy to present us with “same candy, festive shape,” and while this might seem like a cop out to some (where are the new flavors, people?!), but to others this is just as good an alternative to the original as any new flavor could be. Why? Because it gives you everything you love about a candy (you know you will baseline like it), PLUS you get to try out a slightly different ratio of ingredients. Reese’s Pumpkins and Easter Eggs are a revelation, now let’s see if the cookie-to-chocolate-to-caramel ratio of these Twix Snowmen is somehow even better than the original stix of Twix.

Lifesavers Gummies Holiday Shapes

I know what you are thinking: Are Lifesavers called Lifesavers because they have a lifesaving hole in the middle to breathe through if a child happens to swallow one prematurely? Or are they called Lifesavers because they are shaped like those lifesaving inner tubes lifeguards use? Welp, apaprently it’s the latter—so are they still Lifesavers if they’re shaped like Santa hats, snowmen, and stockings? That is up to you to decide. The flavors do look good though, and the shapes are downright adorable. These packs of gummies come with a Cheery Cherry (Santa hat shape), Frosty White Grape (snowman shape), Evergreen Apple (snowflake shape), Icy Blue Raspberry (star shape), and Wintery Watermelon (stocking shape).

AriZona Tea Candy Canes

I am not sure who the target audience is for these Arizona candy canes, but my uninformed guess would be middle schoolers. They are the only citizens of this earth who are old enough to walk around with a giant can of Arizona Tea, but young enough for it to be socially acceptable to be seen consuming a candy cane in public. SO. If you are a middle school dude reading this, just know, AriZona Candy Canes now exist and they come in three flavors inspired by classic AriZona bevs: Grapeade, Mango (Mucho Mango), and Watermelon. I’m getting thirsty just thinking about them.

Albanese Gummi Snowmen & Trees With Snow

Move over, Albanese Gummy Bears, because there’s a new kid in town, and its name is Albanese Gummi Snowmen & Trees With Snow. According to Albanese, these bad boys come in the form of “soft, chewy snowmen and trees dusted with sweet ‘snow’” (don’t worry y’all, we checked, the “snow” is just sugar). The trees are red and green, and the snowmen are white, and the flavors included are Wild Cherry, Green Apple, and Strawberry-Banana. Presumably, the trees are cherry and apple, and the snowmen are strawberry-banana flavor. What we know know is that Albanese has the softest gummies in the game, and we can’t wait to try this new mix.

Also out now: Albanese Jolly Gingerbread Gummies, which are CUTE. AS. HECK.

Haribo Holiday Edition Twin Snakes & Goldbears Sour

Haribo recently dropped their Sour Sodas (we love them and are in love with them), but those aren’t exactly festive. Don’t fret! Everyone’s favorite brand of firm-chew gummies has two new holiday candies coming out this month: Holiday Edition Twin Snakes and Holiday Edition Sour Goldbears. The Twin Snakes come in Green (Sweet Apple) and Red (Black currant), Red (Sweet Passion Fruit) and White (Sour Pineapple), Dark Green (Sweet Kiwi) and Yellow (Sour Lemon). Basically, those snakes have a lot going on. The holiday edition Goldbears Sour come in only Pineapple, Raspberry, and Strawberry (aka red, white, and green). Both the Goldbears and the Snakes come with a little “To: From:” section on the front, so they’re ready for gifting.

Hostess Twinkies Candy Bells

As far as we can tell, these are bell-shaped, Twinkie-flavored white-chocolate-adjacent candy treats, and we want to try them very badly. They are out now, so if you get to them before we do, we would love to hear your thoughts.

New Kool-Aid Candy

Lastly, Kool-Aid is hitting us with some new candy, and as is our policy here at Sporked, if Kool-Aid puts out a new product, we must drink (or in this case, eat) the Kool-Aid. This time, the new products in question are Kool-Aid Snow Day Rock Candy Sticks (which appear to be Tropical Punch flavored despite the blue color of the rock candy itself), and Kool-Aid Snow Day Poppin’ Candy in the flavor Brrr Berry (kind of like those plaid scarves!). I am always game for some popping candy, and I have never had a satisfyingly flavorful rock candy, so if Kool-Aid happens to be the first one to make it happen, then more power to them. We are eager to pick up what they are puttin’ down.
