After staying out of the trend for months, Hershey’s is finally releasing their own Dubai chocolate bar (well, technically it’s Dubai-inspired—we’ll get into that later). But there’s a catch. You won’t be seeing Hershey’s Dubai chocolate bars at the checkout. These limited time bars are about to be serious chocolate collectors’ items. We’ve got the details—read up so you’re ready to score a bar when the time is right.

What exactly is the Hershey’s Dubai-Inspired Chocolate Bar?

According to a press release, the Hershey’s Dubai-Inspired Chocolate Bar is a lot like a traditional Dubai chocolate bar. It’s essentially a Hershey’s milk chocolate bar filled with “creamy pistachio” and “crispy kadayif.”

So, what makes this chocolate bar Dubai inspired rather than straight up Dubai chocolate? I think Hershey’s is just hedging their bets and possibly shielding themselves from any potential legal action from the inventor of Dubai chocolate. But I appreciate that it also lowers expectations a bit—this is not going to be a thick, needs-to-be-refrigerated, authentic Dubai chocolate bar. This is Hershey’s take on Dubai chocolate.

When can I get this new Dubai chocolate bar?

This new Hershey’s bar flavor drops on December 4 at 10 a.m. ET.

How and where can I get this new Hershey’s bar?

Ah, now, here’s the catch. Hershey’s is only making 10,000 of these chocolate bars. And they have said they will NOT be restocking the bars once they’re sold out, making these true collectors’ items. If you want to try your luck, the bars will be available for $8.99 each on Gopuff—but only in New York, Philadelphia, and Chicago—and at Hershey’s Chocolate World in Times Square.

Is this going to be the best Dubai chocolate bar money can buy? No, of course not. But it might be one of the most coveted. Get ready to see Hershey’s Dubai-Inspired Chocolate Bars being scalped on the dark (chocolate) web.

Hi! I’m the editor-in-chief of Sporked. I will never turn down a fresh-shucked oyster but I’ll also leap at whatever new product Reese’s releases and I love a Tostitos Hint of Lime, even if there is no actual lime in the ingredients. Why you should trust me: I have been writing about food and beverages for well over a decade and am an avid at-home cook and snacker. I began my career writing about fine dining and recipes, moved into cocktails and spirits, and now I talk about groceries. If you can eat it or drink it, I’ve probably written about it. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s dried okra. Appleton Farms prosciutto from Aldi. Some sort of Trader Joe’s cheese (I’m into the aged gouda at the moment). Frozen waffles (usually the Eggo Cinnamon Toast Minis). Spindrift water (loving the Cosmopolitan right now). Favorite ranking: Smoked salmon. Imagine me as Scrooge McDuck but instead of coins I’m diving into a vault of slippery smoked salmon slices. Pure joy. I also found some real steals in that taste test! Least favorite ranking: Canned oysters. I had such high hopes for this but it quickly became a chore. The kitchen smelled like an uncleaned aquarium.
