Pineapple was never an option for the fluoride trays when I went to the dentist as a kid. But if it had been, it would have tasted a lot like this. As you sip, you get more and more used to the flavor and it’s almost good in a vaguely tropical way (it’s supposed to taste like papaya, black currant, and vanilla ice cream). But it goes heavy on the artificial sugar flavor, even though it’s made with both sweeteners and real sugar.

As a grapefruit freak, I’m really into this Monster Juice flavor. It smells like the grapefruit wedges in the Haribo Fruit Salad. And it tastes like pink grapefruit—well, like pink grapefruit with a lot of sugar on it. Some may say it’s one note, but if you’re a grapefruit fan looking to get amped, try this Juice Monster.

Love fruit punch? Like, the stuff that stains your mouth red? This is the Monster Juice flavor for you. It’s fruity. It’s a little bit tropical. Really, it tastes “red.” Think of this as Kool-Aid all grown up.

We’re pretty big fans of this new Monster Juice flavor—it came in at number two when we tasted and ranked all the Monster flavors earlier this year. While I’ve never had an actual viking berry (yes, it’s a real thing more commonly known as a chokeberry), I can assure you this is a very berry-forward drink. But think cranberry rather than strawberry. It’s sweet, but there’s also some good tang, which helps balance it out—somewhat. It’s too sweet for someone like me to finish a whole can (I don’t have a huge sweet tooth), but if you’re an avid Monster Juice drinker, I think you’ll be into this Monster Juice flavor.

This new Monster Juice flavor instantly shot to the top of our Monster Juice ranking. If you’re a cider fan like Sporked contributor Griffin Parker, you’re going to absolutely flip for this flavor. As Griffin wrote in his review, “It has a semi-sweet, dry red apple flavor with a hint of (artificial) fermentation…Without a doubt, this is my new favorite Monster Juice flavor.” Plus, it’s so refreshing to get a red apple flavored drink rather than green apple.

Our current number one best Monster flavor, unsurprisingly, also tops the ranking of Monster Juice flavors. You could say we’re loco for it. It’s super DUPER mango-y without being too insanely sweet, which is a real feat, especially for the notoriously sweet Monster Juice line-up. Here’s the highest compliment I can think of: This doesn’t taste like an energy drink to me. It simply tastes like a good mango soda. Whether you’re new to Monster Juice flavors or an old pro, it’s time to give this one a try.
