The more we shop at Aldi, the more we grow to love its quirks. (Personally, I’ve gotten pretty good at finding an empty cardboard box to fill with groceries as I stroll the aisles—I refuse to carry a quarter with me in order to score a cart.) And while we’ve tasted plenty of excellent Aldi products over the years, two new (to us) Aldi products stood out as the best we had in all of 2025.
- Barissimo Midnight Blend Coffee
-
In her ranking of all the Aldi coffee, Sporked’s Ariana Losch wrote that this ground coffee creates a cup of joe that is “roasty but super smooth, with notes of toasted nuts and tobacco.” Tobacco is a good thing in coffee-speak. I tried it too and can attest that this Aldi coffee punches above its weight. It’s surprisingly complex and tastes like it costs way more than it does.

- Park Street Deli Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dessert Dip
-
None of us expected to really like this Aldi dip, let alone love it. But that’s why we do what we do—we taste all the strange stuff in order to discover the diamonds in the rough or dips in the rough, in this case. This cookie dough dip—and it is a dip, it isn’t just edible cookie dough—is creamy, studded with tons of dark chocolate chips, and shockingly complex. You get sweetness, you get a little salt, you get some tang from the cream cheese base. It’s stupid good. And while we could finish a whole tub with a spoon alone, it would be amazing as a dip with graham crackers. As of this writing, it’s still available at Aldi so run and get it now. What are you doing sitting there? I said NOW!
