January is always kind of a drag. Once the holidays are over, the frigid weather that seemed cute and cozy in December persists, and instead of frolicking through powdery white snow you find yourself dragging ass through gray sludge and cursing god. All you can do is psychologically transport yourself to warmer days—and LaCroix is releasing something in January 2026 that should help, at least a little.

Yep, a new LaCroix flavor is dropping in January and it’s taking cues from an iconic summertime bev. They don’t call it LaCroix Piña Colada, but LaCroix Pineapple Coconut surely has the Piña Colada vibes we’ll be craving this winter.

Pineapple Coconut LaCroix sounds famils—why is that?

Well, there could be a couple of reasons. For one, LaCroix Coconut already exists. It’s one of their more controversial flavors—a lot of people seem to think it tastes too much like suntan lotion smells—but it’s actually one of our favorites. The other reason is that other sparkling water brands have already dabbled in this flavor profile. Bubly’s Coconut Pineapple flavor launched back in 2021. And in 2024, Waterloo released a line of three sparkling “mocktails” in partnership with Guy Fieri, and one of them was called Pi-ño Colada (get it?). We have great news on that front: We absolutely LOVED Waterloo’s version; it earned 9.5 Sporks, which means it’s practically perfect. We wrote:

“It’s bright and tropical and refreshing. The coconut flavor is warm and round, but the pineapple flavor really brightens things up.”

As long as they don’t screw up the ratios, this new LaCroix flavor has a good chance of being just as delicious. You’re dubious, I can tell. Sure, if you think LaCroix tastes like the vague memory of fruit flavors, it might be a letdown. But hey, there’s always the best Piña Colada mix—guzzle that if you need a pick-me-up instead!

When and where can I get my hands on this summery substance?

The brand simply says “January 2026”—no exact date—but I’d be surprised if we didn’t start spotting 8-packs in the wild even sooner. The flavor isn’t a store-exclusive, so expect to see LaCroix Pineapple Coconut wherever you usually do your grocery shopping in the U.S.

Gwynedd Stuart

Howdy! I’m Gwynedd, Sporked’s managing editor. I live in Los Angeles and have access to the best tacos the U.S. has to offer—but I’m a sucker for a crunchy Old El Paso taco night every now and then. I’ve been at Sporked since 2022 and I’m still searching frozen mozzarella sticks that can hold a candle to restaurant sticks. Why you should trust me: I’ve been a journalist for 20 years (yikes), a consumer of food for 40-plus years, and I’m truly hard pressed to think of foods I don’t like (or that I can’t tolerate at the very least). Oh and one time I cooked my way through Guy Fieri’s cookbook and wrote about the journey through Flavortown. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s Original Savory Thins. Fat free plain yogurt (usually Fage or Nancy’s). Honeycrisp apples. Sweet cream coffee creamer for my at-home Americanos. A frozen cauliflower crust pizza and some jarred mushrooms to top it with. Old El Paso Stand ‘N Stuff taco shells and Gardein Ground Be’f, even though I think “be’f” is a nightmarish contraction. Favorite ranking: Stouffer’s frozen dinners. I don’t own a microwave (I get my cancers the old fashioned way!), so I love taste testing things that I don’t really buy to eat at home. Least favorite ranking: Soy sauce. Don’t get me wrong, I love soy sauce—but consuming that much sodium in one sitting is probably illegal in some countries. Our frozen enchilada taste test was a close second; the smell of microwaved corn tortillas still haunts me.
