Dollar Tree’s shelves overfloweth with fun foods and drinks for just around a buck. If you’re looking to score the best new items on the Dollar Tree shelves this month, then you’ve come to the right place. Because we searched through all the new stuff at Dollar Tree and found the five best deals on exciting new foods as well as our go-to staples that you can find right now.

Bigs Taco Supreme Flavored Sunflower Seeds ($1.25)

Taco Bell Taco Supreme-flavored sunflower seeds? How have we never seen these before? I’ve never been so excited about sunflower seeds ever. Taco Supreme powder should be on more “healthy” snacks. Almonds, peanuts, pumpkin seeds—heck, I’d try it on dried cranberries!

Betty Crocker Creamy Butter Mashed Potatoes ($1.25)

You can score our number one pick for the best instant mashed potatoes for just over a dollar. These potatoes turn out smooth and super creamy. Plus, they don’t taste like fake popcorn butter. That butter flavor tastes real, baby. Tell your masher goodbye. Because after trying these I don’t think you’ll be going back to it.

Breyers Cookie & Cream Flavored Cookie Bits Rabbit Candy ($1.25)

It’s already Easter at Dollar Tree. You can find all manner of chocolate egg, chocolate bunny, gummy chicks, etc. at the budget store. But the one that caught our eye was this Breyers Cookie & Cream rabbit. If anyone can do a cookies and cream flavor right, it’s an ice cream brand, right?

Helados Mexico Mini Ice Cream Bars ($5)

I know, I know, this is a pricier item at $5 a pack. But these mini paletas are so good. How good? They’re so good that we ranked them the best popsicles to buy even though they’re clearly ice cream bars. They’re that good. They can do it all.

Gold Peak Sweet Tea (52 oz) ($3)

Gold Peak Sweet Tea is the best iced tea you can buy at a store, period. And yes, we did try the iced tea at Publix. That’s good. But this is better. It balances strong, rich tea flavors with pure, sugar cane sweetness. You’re going to need all 52 ounces.

About the Author

Justine Sterling

Hi! I’m the editor-in-chief of Sporked. I will never turn down a fresh-shucked oyster but I’ll also leap at whatever new product Reese’s releases and I love a Tostitos Hint of Lime, even if there is no actual lime in the ingredients. Why you should trust me: I have been writing about food and beverages for well over a decade and am an avid at-home cook and snacker. I began my career writing about fine dining and recipes, moved into cocktails and spirits, and now I talk about groceries. If you can eat it or drink it, I’ve probably written about it. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s dried okra. Appleton Farms prosciutto from Aldi. Some sort of Trader Joe’s cheese (I’m into the aged gouda at the moment). Frozen waffles (usually the Eggo Cinnamon Toast Minis). Spindrift water (loving the Cosmopolitan right now). Favorite ranking: Smoked salmon. Imagine me as Scrooge McDuck but instead of coins I’m diving into a vault of slippery smoked salmon slices. Pure joy. I also found some real steals in that taste test! Least favorite ranking: Canned oysters. I had such high hopes for this but it quickly became a chore. The kitchen smelled like an uncleaned aquarium.
